The claim on their website that the company was founded by Catholic women is BS. There are no names given and no pictures shown of these Catholic women. A rarity in this space because legitimate Catholic artisans want the buyer to trust that they are buying from a legitimate Catholic business or person. The CATHOLIGHT trademark is owned by a person in Vietnam The strongest ownership evidence is the U.S. trademark registration. CATHOLIGHT, registration No. 8,028,533 / application 99042006, was filed on February 14, 2025, for leather bags, handbags, wallets and purses. The applicant/owner is Van Tuan Nguyen, identified as an individual, with a domicile/address in Thanh Oai, Hanoi, Vietnam. The mark subsequently registered on November 18, 2025. The same Van Tuan Nguyen has filed a cluster of U.S. trademarks for consumer brands: CATHOLIGHT — leather bags/handbags/wallets DACHYCHARM — leather bags/wallets BLOOMNEEDLE — leather bags/wallets WESTAVELLE — leather bags/wallets SOULYSHINE — jewelry/necklaces STORYTAGS — jewelry-related bag tags The filings repeatedly identify the same Vietnamese individual and Hanoi-area address. The Boulder Colorado address listed on their website is probably just a mail forwarding service or a Service of Process agent's address. The customer service hours listed on their website coincide with the timezone in Vietnam. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE! UPDate - Catholight does not deny any of the above. They just responded that it does not appear that the review was based on an interaction with them. They claim they value transparency and trust yet their website contains false statements about who they are. Who could ever trust them?
