Since I mentioned Catholight in a review I submitted for Feratia (the quality, or lack thereof, is the same for both), I decided to submit my interaction with Catholight, could not include all of it, not enough space. Buyers beware. After waiting for a while for my order, I sent them an email: “ Where are your made to order purses manufactured? I ordered top-grain purses with the vegan wallets and thought they would take almost a month, as you said, to make, but that time is really shipping time. Where are the purses coming from? China?” Their response: “ Since the items you ordered are made-to-order, they will be crafted specifically for you after your order is placed. Preparing your order typically takes 7-10 business days, and delivery can take 7-20 business days. Your order #Catholight-114680 is being shipped normally in 3 separate packages. You can follow your order status at this link: Please make sure to choose the correct shipment so you can check the status of the corresponding item. Just to confirm, I have checked and found that all items from your order are made from veganique leather, none of the items is in top-grain leather as you mentioned. Thank you for your patience!” My response: “ I thought your site stated that orders are shipped from USA , why does it take 7-20 business days for delivery? Normally that’s what it takes when items come from outside of USA. Please be transparent, otherwise it appears untruthful.” Their response: “ I completely understand how frustrating this must be, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. To clarify, our store has two collections: in-stock and made-to-order. The items you ordered belong to the made-to-order collection, which is why it takes about 3-4 weeks for you to receive them. These products are crafted specifically after your order is placed, which naturally requires additional time compared to in-stock items. We truly appreciate your patience as we carefully create your order. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.” My response: “ I get that all in all it takes 3-4 weeks for me to receive my order. You are still not answering the question of where these purses come from that it would take 7-20 business days to deliver them, after the 7-10 business days that it takes to prepare the order. If it is being mailed/shipped from the USA as you claim, I don’t understand why it would take 7-20 business days for the delivery. Also, if your orders ship from the USA, why are they coming from Nancheng, China. Please do not claim that orders are shipped from the USA if they are not and don’t claim this “made-to-order” giving the illusion that the item is being made specially at a time of order. Especially when order is placed on the 3rd and by the 6th is enroute, FROM CHINA, and that is why it takes so long to get it. Shop Ready to Ship collection” They have since taken out from their top scrolling bar “Ships from USA”” Their response: “ To clarify, all our made-to-order items—including your Catholight Heavenly Grace Leather Bag—are crafted and shipped from our warehouse in Hong Kong. That is why you see the tracking updates starting from China. Only in-stock items are shipped directly from our US warehouse. We truly appreciate your patience as your order is carefully made and shipped. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can continue tracking your order here: Thank you again for your understanding.” My response: “I sent an email to you with what is shown on your “made to order” portion of your site. If that is not correct, May I suggest that you make the necessary corrections showing true and accurate information regarding the “made to order” items, otherwise it could be misleading.” I guess they decided to correct their top scrolling bar! Their response: “If you refer to the scrolling text at the top, that is a default feature on our site, and unfortunately, it cannot be removed on specific pages at this time. However, we truly appreciate your feedback and will explore ways to make the information clearer and less distracting in the future. Thank you again for your patience and understanding. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.” Purses arrived: dull colors, poor workmanship, color inside not as advertised, blurry images. They claimed the pictures I send show fine in their computer.

To clarify: - Made-to-order items are crafted upon purchase and shipped from our workshop in Hong Kong, which is why delivery can take 3–4 weeks. - In-stock items ship directly from our US warehouse and usually arrive much faster. We also regret that the purses you received did not meet your expectations in terms of colors and workmanship. Our support team has been in touch and offered a replacement to address your concerns. Unfortunately, we were not able to reach a mutual agreement on the resolution. At this stage, there’s not much more we can do, but we sincerely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve both our communication and our products. Best regards,
