Bait and Switch Scam
I recently sent my Yoga 2 Pro i7 to these guys based upon their estimate that in good condition - the middle of 5 categories by which they rate condition - that it would be worth $108. This was a lightly used machine in very reasonable condition and fully functional with a fresh install of Win 10. Upon receipot, I got an email letting me know that in their opinion (scratches on the cover; a claimed broken bezel of which I was totally unaware when it was shipped to them), it was worth only $36, the same price they offer for a non-operational laptop. When I responded with incredulity, they upped the offer to $50. This is a bait and switch scam. Don't fall for it. Another review site that I have subsequently checked has 61 reviews on this company....every single review is scathing i.e. 1 out of 5 star.....every one of 61 individual reviews! Trading standards office....here I come!! After Their Reply: I'm not sure what a timeline of our correspondence is supposed to do to negate any of my claims. I'm simply trying to warn people what to expect if they think they are going to be treated fairly by these guys. Dropping an offer from $108 to $36, revised to $50 because of my complaint is what it says on the tin: Bait and Switch. Good night!

Hi Martin, I'm sorry to hear that you had a disagreement with the condition of the laptop during the evaluation process. I have investigated the matter and here are the facts. April 27, 2021. You placed an order to sell your laptop Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Intel Core I7 Series in Good condition. May 05, 2021. The laptop package was delivered to our facility. May 05, 2021. The same day, your laptop was inspected by our team. Please note that the entire process at our facility is documented and recorded. May 05, 2021. The same day, we emailed you regarding the status of your laptop. The laptop had visible scratches on the body and also the bezel was broken. May 06, 2021. You replied to our email agreeing that the laptop had scratches but asked us for photographic evidence of the broken bezel. May 06, 2021. The photographic evidence was shared with you. May 06, 2021. You refuted and disagreed with the evidence stating that the bezel was not damaged when shipped. May 06, 2021. We tried calling you to discuss and get details of how the bezel got broken. This would have helped us investigate the matter with the shipping company but you never answered nor did returned our call. May 06, 2021. We emailed you the complete video of the condition of the laptop bezel and offered a revised price as goodwill that this might have caused during shipment. May 06, 2021. You replied accepting the revised price offered by us. May 07, 2021. You emailed us again accepting the revised price but still had concerns. May 07, 2021. We replied to you that as goodwill we are going to send back the laptop to you free of any charges and will pay for the shipping label. In summary, We offered you a revised higher price than the market value of your laptop based on the current condition as goodwill keeping in view that the bezel could have broken during the shipment. On your disagreement, we again as goodwill offered to send back your laptop free of any charges and pay for the shipping. Please note that your laptop has been sent back. I hope this clarifies your concerns and I apologize again for the inconvenience caused to you.
