ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! IT WASTED MINE! They don't even post the right picture of the right vehicle. There's absolutely nowhere to leave a note. I have a 100,000 mile transferable warranty. It would be nice to SHARE THAT! That is vehicle information. They ask you to pick out the 'style' of vehicle and there's six different styles. Trying to tell me there's 6 different styles of the 2023 toyota corolla xse hatchback. SUPER UPSET. I'LL MAKE SURE I TELL 2 PEOPLE SO THEY CAN TELL 4, AND THEY CAN TELL 8, YOU GET WHERE I'M GOING.

I recently received an “Instant Offer” for my vehicle through Cars.com from a dealership roughly 90 minutes away. The offer was well below private party value but was better than some other instant offers I received from other websites so I contacted the dealer and was told the process was very simple and quick. I decided to make the trip against my better judgment and ultimately it was a complete bait and switch. The dealership lowered my offer nearly 45%. While they cited a few minor wear and tear items, the main reason was that the dealership contacted wholesalers to purchase the car and those wholesalers would not be willing to pay them the instant offer amount. So why waste people’s time with a fake instant offer if the process is based on what a wholesaler will pay? Please save yourself time and frustration and avoid Cars.com.

Used instant cash offer. They claimed they would buy my car for $8900. Then post dealer inspection, they offered $6100. $2300 of the $2800 they “knocked off” of their offer was for extremely minor cosmetic defects, ON A 2008 VEHICLE. Give me a break. Consequently id argue they employ false advertising: color is silver and not black? Deduct $150. Almost imperceptible scratch on hood? Deduct $500. Furthermore, 0 room for negotiation. I told the dealership (Acura Irvine, also worth avoiding) that they wasted my time. They said they have no control over pricing. Right. Amazed these guys haven’t been sued out of business yet

I place my car for sale. Within an hour or so, I get a message from person "A". I response to person "A". I forward my phone number to person "A" and we speak specifics about the car. Person "A" says he is interested and would like to make arrangements to pickup car on a certain day. Gives a story which I didn't believe, so I gave him a day. He was going to forward me his info. I responded how will payment be handled. All of a sudden, his account is inactive. Person "A" had a different name as we was texting and not the same name on the message on the website. I traced his number and it's in the state of Illinois which is where Cars.com is located. Person "A" used three (3) names. Be careful with this site!! The company itself is either checking up on you OR trying to scam you!!! Buyer and Seller, BEWARE!!

We rented a car, paid in advance. But when we got to the airport to pick it up they said they could not rent the car to us because we didn't have a credit card. Even though we paid with a debit card online and it never said anything about a credit card being required. We paid $300 for a week and they marked us as a no show and then refused to give us our money back. Completely got ripped off for the money. Terrible company to go through

I’m extremely disappointed with how this business conducted itself during my experience. Under 15 U.S.C. § 45, which prohibits unfair and deceptive acts or practices in commerce, I believe my rights as a consumer were violated. The pricing and financing terms were misleading and not clearly disclosed up front. Furthermore, under 15 U.S.C. § 1601, which is part of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), I should have been given accurate and transparent information regarding credit terms, including the true cost of financing. Instead, I was met with confusing figures that didn’t match what was originally agreed upon. If you’re considering doing business here, be cautious and know your rights. According to 15 U.S.C. § 1679, any coercive or deceptive pricing tactics related to credit or purchases are strictly prohibited. I urge others to demand full disclosure and documentation before signing anything. Consumers deserve honesty, transparency, and respect. Always protect your rights and hold businesses accountable when they fail to comply with federal consumer protection laws.

This service is absolute trash for a number of reasons. 1. The system glitches consistently when attempting to add vehicles to your garage or listing a vehicle. This means you may need to re-do it several times. 2: The system will occasionally glitch a vehicle in your garage into a "Submitted" status that absolutely cannot be altered. This means the vehicle cannot be removed, edited, or anything and the listing can go live. Then if you've sold the vehicle, it'll remain up for EVER. I mean that in literal tense, forever. 3: This forces you to contact customer support. Oh, guess what? There is no customer support. They've built a chat agent that ACTS as if there was customer support, but no matter what selections are made - even if you select that you're a paid dealer account - the ending result is ALWAYS "There is no agent available, please try again later" - always. Then you can send an email; which they've hidden, and that'll never be responded to either. 4: You won't get ANY leads. AVOID THIS WEBSITE AND ITS GARBAGE INTERFACE AND MISLEADING TACTICS AT ALL COST.

I tried several times to sell my car as a private seller.My account was disabled and they ask me adittional details...I don;t think I will try to use this website again...
