In order to even speak to a sitter you have to create a specific event. I found a sitter I liked and just to have her come and MEET the family for a few minutes, I had to create an hour to two hour event which automatically charged my card. The site also sends default messages for you speaking as you! This really threw me for a loop. I cancelled the event bc I already planned to meet the sitter and didn’t want to pay extra for a meet and greet and because it was just 3 minutes outside of the 24 hour cancellation rule I was charged an extra $20. Upon speaking with customer service, they said they couldn’t help.

Impossible to get in contact with anyone who can help with charges to my credit card. No way to escalate an issue or speak to anyone who can help with a resolution. The customer service reps are more interested in creating roadblocks to resolution than helping resolve problems. BEWARE OF AUTOMATIC RENEWAL AND MONTHLY FEES

The quality of users on this platform is poor, with only a 10% success rate in hiring someone decent. On top of that, customer service is frustratingly unhelpful. They deflect your questions with irrelevant answers, and when they can't or don't want to resolve your issue, they just ghost you and stop responding altogether.

Wat een oplichters!! Trap hier niet in je kan kiezen tussen 1 maand of 2-3 maanden en denkt daarmee dat je het dus voor die periode gebruikt. Daarna gaan ze stiekem over op een vast abonnement. Ik ga stappen nemen want dit mag wettelijk niet je moet klanten hiervan op de hoogte brengen.

The caregiver was a no call no show

I signed up 6+ months ago as caregiver. Semi-retired, disabled. The site did provide opportunities, but unfortunately none at time fit my schedule. I attempted to cancel a month ago, but site user interface always came back with message that my request couldn't be processed, 'delete cookies'...despite my multiple machinations to resolve. Email care.com (u have to dig to even get THAT), I get email bk confirming that I want to cancel. GET a charge for Sept. So I again, try to cancel thru app, get the same dysfunctional messaging about deleting my cookies despite my doing so til I'm TOSSING my cookies. Get yet ANOTHER confirmation msg confirming my request to cancel acct, followed in 5 days by ANOTHER CHARGE! When I tried to followup...'you're request has been resolved'...I have to start my inquiry/complaint from scratch (OH BTW, I can no longer LOG IN - they DID INDEED cancel my account...but they chose to hang on to my credit card (which yet again, tried to delete but user interface requires alternative payment option before you can do so) and charge to it, while providing no access or services....attorney general anyone? How does this service children and elderly? It does not.

No not all very unprofessional. Items missing

Thank you for giving me an opportunity to express my disgust with Care.com and their service. No one replied to my initial message just saw picture and profiles, and when someone did a few weeks later, they didn’t show up. When I found the help I needed from another provider, I was not able to remove myself from their system at all. Now am a paid “subscriber” for another year with no refund possible. I keep reading similar reviews on this site. What has happened to customer service and refunds for unsatisfactory or terminated service? I want my $130 back or at least my account and information off their website.
