It's just a scam. I joined care.com in June as a nanny looking for a job. I have had many people interested in my profile and favourite me however not a single message from them. I did think that was abit odd but just assumed you have to have a membership maybe. So anyways I upgraded and messaged over 20 families and not a single one replied even those that were interested and favourited me. I also upgraded as it mentions on the page as one of the benefits of paying you can see who views your profile, so I wanted to see this but I just could not find this feature. So I reached out to one of the advisors via chat and asked them to which they said this is not something they do, so I asked why are they stating that as a benefit of upgrading when they don't and she said someone will reach out and discuss. I have had a few emails back and forth very contracting almost like I'm talking to different people each time and they have also refused to give me a refund.

This is an appalling company. I thought I had cancelled my subscription months ago only to find they are still charging on a direct debit. There is no customer service at all.

Customer service is not helpful at all. auto charged me for a service I no longer need and refused to refund me

Care.com has become the absolute worst site to use. The customer service is terrible and there is only the chat feature to contact them. They never help and now I have a caregiver harassing me because I paid thru the app. The caregiver claims to not have received payment and care wont help at all.

STAY CLEAR! Unfortunately I can't directly respond to Care.com's previous reply to one of my reviews so I have to write a new review. All my emails to them directly are entirely unsatisfactory and they really couldn't care less. So as everyone familiar with their customer service (non existent) will know, I post this here as a warning to others. I used them once and got my hands burned but I hate that they are operating in a space where there are many vulnerable people seeking carers. Also from my research online (oh the benefit of hindsight) clearly many unhappy carers also. I encourage everyone to read ALL the online reviews and research into Care.Com, including some larger scale complaints in the US. I wish I had done that wider research at the outset. In relation to some of their previous 'customer service' comments that they love to put up visibly on these websites, I respond: "We're so sorry to hear that you were not aware that our memberships auto renew until cancelled. This information is included on every upgrade page, as well as our billing confirmation and Terms of Use." This was not the premise of our agreement, not clear at all. Also when I believed I had unsubscribed from Premium online care.com made that impossible with their website functionality. In the end I had to cancel via my bank and raise it with their Chat who finally let me free of further payments. However, for three months they took my money without my consent. The website functionality is entirely disingenuous and communication is not transparent. Don't sign up as you can't leave without HUGE effort and then you are paying monthly subscription charges that you never agreed to. They just hope you won't notice. "This information is included on every upgrade page, as well as our billing confirmation and Terms of Use." Yes, that's what you love to tell everyone AFTER they are trapped in your billing system and none of this is made clear at the outset. No transparency at all. The most unethical company I have ever enrolled or done business with. "Our service is by subscription so customers have the convenience of using their Premium benefits whenever they need them. However, they can always cancel through their account or by reaching out to our Customer Care team at any time." FACT: you have to call your bank to cancel and then you can call the chat team to cancel as the downgrade from Premium that they showcase on their website doesn't work and you go round in circles. Like I have said in a previous review, it is Hotel California, no way out. It is far from convenient, entirely the opposite... They use slick language like this to wind you in. "If you'd like to discuss further or have any questions or concerns regarding your account, billing history or our subscriptions, please reach out to us through the contact us link or through Facebook Messenger. Please include Reference Number REV-024466 when you message. Our experienced Customer Care team will be more than happy to assist you with any inquiries. Thank you." It is useless doing this as the Customer Care team at care.com really don't care at all and they just refer to their terms and conditions. Again you go round in circles.

TOTAL WASTE!! I paid for PREMIUM package to find a tutor for my child. They are all children!!! I get messages from people constantly but they are literally in school or just graduated. I would be paying through step up and none of the children have the credentials that step up would need to approve. The only people that I do like and they don’t answer. I don’t know if they are fake profiles to make it look better but VERY SUSPICIOUS!!! Cancelling!!! It was A WASTE of $40.

Vraagt heel veel informatie en als je dat allemaal hebt ingevuld, moet je betalen om toegang te krijgen tot de dienstverleners die bovendien ook nog behoorlijk duur zijn en geen reviews hebben. Blijf weg van Care, zowel als je dienstverlener bent, als wanneer je diensten zoekt. Kosten worden niet vermeld voordat je aanmeldt. Mag dat? Worden persoonlijke gegevens volgens AVG opgeslagen en verwijderd op verzoek? De reactie van Care belooft weinig goeds. Weer zo'n ordinaire tussenpersoon die geld probeert te verdienen a la airbnb en Booking?
