Fraud!!!
Fraud!!! My bank was debited £20 yesterday, please refund my money. In my bank statement Care.com, Berlinn paid out £20. I never contacted this company befor and I dont live in Berline. You took my details to do more criminal activities. Don't do anything with this company.

This used to be amazing!
I had been using Care.com for years. Now when I try to login, it asks me to pay 18.99 for a background check to keep using the website. I can’t even see what is available in the area first! It was better when the family had the option to request a background check.

Would give it a zero if I could. No apparent way to speak with anyone to receive assistance on the care.com site i.e #1 logging into the care.com site after it forced me to create a profile in order to write a review. #2 making an edit to a review I wrote. Seems they hide all contact information and do not provide customer service which ironically is basically what the site is all about!

Purchase was made in error
Purchase was made in error. I immediately emailed them requested a refund and to cancel the request and they refused. They do not provide refunds according to their policy.

Terrible customer service!
I have used this service for years and generally had a good experience, but I recently paid for premium service to get unlimited background checks. The background check results section of the website hasn't worked in the past 3 days and the chat box support person keeps saying it's been reported. No one to talk to, no refunds. I am unable to hire anyone because I don't have a background check!!!! 11/4/24- update. 1 day after I submitted this complaint, the issue was resolved. I never received an email that the issue was resolved even though I was promised follow-up on the 3 occasions I contacted care.com

They canceled my account without an explanation. I even had a paid subscription to care.com but there response was basically, sorry, tough luck. Try back in 3 months. They won’t even hold/refund my money. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Be aware that this company may lock you into a year-long contract, making it difficult to exit. They promise big but fall short, and will use every tactic to keep you locked into their “agreement,” even disregarding the rescind timeframe. Whatever you do, avoid signing any contracts or deals with them!
