Scam site. Takes your money and has illiterate idiots in there.

Poor customer service, unable.to.apeak with an agent all communication is electronic and for the most fromated. They up charge, cause add ons to the subscription in a shady way. I have tried to hire twice through them the first 2 workers flaked on interviews and the 3rd is basically running an u licensed daycare out of thier home.

Their customer service (or lack thereof) is completely unhelpful and consistently states that that "IT is looking into it" and ends chats mid-conversation, states they will follow up with email & never do. But they will take your money & state it's nonrefundable per their policy. Yet, they cannot help with basic fundamentals of their membership that are causing issues.

Their website is extremely misleading. We used care.com to find a caregiver, and then used Homepay's services to manage payments and taxes. When you log into Homepay, the login screen says "Care.com". So when I canceled my account, I didn't realize that I technically had 2 different accounts — one for Care.com and one for Homepay. As a result, they kept overcharging me and then refused to provide any sort of a refund — despite the fact that I very clearly was not using their product. I'm a designer for a living. This is a big and obvious no no in design ethics. You should always be as transparent as you can in your design. Hopefully I can save at least one other family from these charges.

Care.com is in violation of CA law. They did not notify us of auto renewal as stated in the bill "Notify California subscribers 15 to 45 days before the renewal date reminding them that their plans will automatically renew unless canceled.". Therefore my 80 year old mother was billed $355.40. I tried to contact them as soon as we got the bill to say we don't want their services and we did not approval the renewal, but they refused to issue a refund. I told them it was in violation of the law and they did not help. I have filed a complaint with the CA AG.

The “housekeeper” ghosted me. Jessica had all sorts of excuses. Poor business skills. No idea about her other work skills. My daughter is getting married on Saturday. I had a very specific request for a housekeeper to come on Tuesday for three hours. The provider communicated very effectively on the care platform that she would be here at 5:30 PM. It seems that she used a telephone number that I had put onto the Care* website to communicate to me at 2:30 PM that she wasn’t going to be able to come. I never got that because the number I had on the Platform was wrong. Instead of area code 330, it said 340. The provider is from this area If she had tried to call the telephone number, it would not have gone through. She texted, and then assumed since I didn’t answer that she could just make other plans for the evening. We had communicated online on the Care* platform back-and-forth about four times the night before and everything was set. Then she ghosted me I regret using care and will pass that along to everybody I know

Care.com has not paid me for work I did months ago. I have contacted them four times and every time I have to start from the very beginning and explain the whole problem. Then they offer the same solution that has already failed to work four times. They have stolen my wages.

While they were marginally helpful in my search, I CANNOT GET THEM TO CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION. I have tried and thought I was successful. But nope. Showed up again on my card. It’s not worth it to have to deal with this!
