Signed up and immediately got an excessive amount of email spam from them with Housekeepers "reaching out" and "new Housekeeping Candidates" for the next 3 days. Not sure how many of those are real or if they run bots - it was very annoying either way. In the account settings there is no option to disable these emails! Also, the website constantly begs for you to buy premium. Overall, care.com had a very shady impression on me and I would try to avoid this provider if possible.

Care.com IS A SCAM!!! They charged me for a background check, 6-months after I cancelled!!! I finally got ahold of 3 different CS Reps, all of whom hung up on me with no provocation!!! Finally I got ahold of one CSR who stayed on the phone. She, her manager, and her manager’s boss told me I WOULD NOT RECEIVE A REFUND!!! I Disputed the Claim with my Bank, and the money was IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO ME!!! GUESS THE JOKE’S ON THEM!!!

I didn’t order the service in the end. Changed my mind and didn’t press the “order” button on the last screen. Imagine my surprise when Care.com sent Michaela anyway! And now they are charging me as if the service was provided and offer no refund. I’ll be posting this review to various social media.

My petsitter cancelled before coming

I have submitted background checks for my nannies and I still have not gotten them back from care.com. It has been 2 weeks. It is the only step I am waiting on to hire my nanny. I contacted the company that does their background checks and they have not received the request from care.com. I have been messaging care.com over the last 2 weeks about this and they assured me that the requests are submitted and that they are waiting on Sterling privacy practices. But Sterling privacy practices states that they are not receiving the information from care.com to do the background checks. I have contacted care.com and I still have no resolution. I paid a lot of money for the subscription and to do the background checks but I have not gotten anything from this "premium service". It is just delaying the process. I should have just done my own check and not paid for the service though care.com. Also they are not doing a good job of communicating and the only way to contact them is chat or email. Really disappointing

Worst people ever to try and contact to cancel your subscription . They have taken my money yet again after asking to cancel and I am now suddenly getting emails saying they are sending my details to parents which I do not want !!! They haven't done this in a long time so it's funny as soon as I say I want to cancel they are suddenly proactive !! You can't contact them on the online form as no matter what you do it won't accept your phone number , classic avoidance techniques if you as me . I want my money refunded care.com and please stop ignoring customers and making your system impossible .

Like finding childcare isn't hard enough, they make the experience a nightmare. Behind their shiny website is the worst customer experience you could ask for.
