Care.com is a montly subscription scam. Why would anyone need to have a subscription services for finding a nanny. 74.98 every 3 months is extremely overpriced. They take advantage of families who are simply looking for someone to help when they need it most.

Care.com is a over priced membership that provides little to no true value for the amount they charge. I dont understand why it's required to pay for a subscription service for finding a nanny. It only makes sense for them to make massvie profits and has nothing to do with value.

-Lack of any updates on subscription status seems to be intentionally designed to keep people subscribed when the service is not in use (abusive tactics to take more nonrefundable fees) -Subscriptions pricing promised unlimited background checks, but is not clear about what the actual background check process looks like and these are not easily available for listed caregivers as you have to go through a long process with each caregiver that they have to consent to (false advertising) -Few caregivers with any experience or references, and after interviewing 10 and trying 4, we had pretty bad experiences across the board -Very glitchy website; pushes you to hire for specific days and make payments through them, but then those jobs will just get rejected by caregivers because caregivers were only providing general availability and not specific dates or updating their availability for jobs booked outside the platform. Leads busy parents to think they have secured care only to have to start all over again.

This company is a SCAM. They contacted me by phone and convinced me to create a profile on their new platform (I used to have a profile on Care.com). It was not clear at all that my yearly subscription was going to cost $200/monthly, instead of $200 yearly as had been told me. When I contacted them to cancel the account they refused because I was locked in a year contract. Only when I disputed the charges with my bank they closed the account. Please stay away from them. I submitted a report to FTC. We all should do it to try to end this fraud.

No one has ever shown up and I have been charged more than 10 times. I want to be reimbursed or I will contact my lawyer and give a horrible review on facebook.

I posted a job and hired a babysitter by tapping the “hire” button, but the website never notified the babysitter or sent me a notification. Thankfully I messaged the babysitter to see if she had been notified, and she had not. Thankfully we were still able to meet. I was using Safari on iPhone. I tried using the app, but that was no help either. If I cannot easily hire help, there is not much point in using this service.

I could give a zero…. But that’s not an option. They found me a house keeper…. And then kept charging my account 38.95 per month for no further services. If you get entangled with this company, you will sorely regret it

This platform is a scam. When you post a job ad, some applicants will remain hidden unless you upgrade your subscription. Once you upgrade, you still won’t receive replies to your messages—even from candidates who applied before you subscribed. They also charged me $240 for a criminal background check plan that was advertised as $20 on the checkout page. I only discovered the inflated charge when I saw it on my bank statement. In total, I paid nearly $400 for the subscription and background check plan—and received absolutely nothing in return. I also wasted a significant amount of time.
