The website is extremely buggy and crashes after you open each message. It does this in all browsers. Their customer service does not respond to messages. The site also sends you people's applications automatically so you think you have many interested applicants. However, once you pay to contact these people they are not available and did not send the messages themselves. Do not upgrade or use this site.

Originally I created an account to seek a care giver. I never had to use the app. However I wanted to use my account to search for work for myself. But you can only use your account for only reason, either to hire help or to search for work. You cannot use your account for both. So because I wanted to use my same email today I had to cancel my account seeking help and then create a new account to seek work. Today I also paid $20 membership. However when I login it takes me to the app. The app freezes up. I did not know I had to use the app for access. 2 hours later this has been a waste of my valuable time. Same day I am now requesting a refund. They are refusing to give me a refund even though I can’t use the service.

I went to Care.Com to look for a driver to a medical appointment. I posted my 'ad' as they call it and waited. The next day I had an 'application' as they call that. But to view the application I needed to sign up for a subscription. Okay, reasonable. I saw that the monthly charge was affordable so I started to sign up for that option. As I got to the end, in small print it stated that I would be charged the YEARLY amount AT ONCE! I did NOT click 'submit' and exited immediately. This morning I saw the charge went through! I reached out, explained what happened and they refused to refund my money stating all sales are nonrefundable. BUT I DIDN'T BUY IT!!! All they would do is change it to a monthly account for $40+/-. This company is NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM. I'm sure they have other disreputable practices if you choose to do business with them. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

I signed up for a one-month membership on Care.com for $43.95, but I was wrongly charged $239.40 for a full year. There was no clear indication that I was committing to an annual subscription. I noticed the overcharge immediately and requested a correction the next business day, but Care.com refused to adjust or refund the charge. Their customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, citing policies that were not made clear at the time of purchase. This feels like a deliberate bait-and-switch tactic to trap users into expensive, non-refundable subscriptions. Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to avoid Care.com unless you want to risk unexpected charges and poor customer support. UPDATE: Care.com responded with a caring public reply, but privately, they stuck to their deceptive tactics, refusing a refund for a charge I never agreed to. I’ve since filed complaints with the CFPB, FTC, and my state’s Attorney General and disputed the charge with my bank. Their public response is damage control—the reality is deceptive billing and dismissive support. Avoid Care.com.

Website is horrible and glitchy. Hardly any jobs… not worth the money. It’s not even optional not to pay to find a job anymore. Scammy.

This is a fraud . Care.com is stealing people’s money, they make you subscribe and take your card information and take the money from your card without giving you the service you subscribe for. I made a subscription, they ask me for my card and took the money, they don’t even send a receipt for the subscription and when I tried to login on the application, I can’t and I tried to ask for help, they keel telling you “oops something went wrong, try later” and they keep changing your card. That’s a fraud. DO NOT SUSBCRIBE.

Care.com has been taking an auto-renewal payment from my account every year for 3 years without notifying me of the renewal. They have refused to refund this year's payment, despite not notifying me that it was coming (illegal) and being contacted by me within two days of the payment being made. I hope their CEO enjoys his next million!

The website is very unstable and almost useless. It gives error messages very frequently like that you can’t even read a message without logging in several times. The search options and basically the options of the website are very basic, ie every time you message someone after searching you need to start over searching to see other carers
