They were charging me for 2 years. Was not using the service at all. I did not know they were charging me. They did not send me any emails or notifications about the charges but charged over $40 per month! I got nothing in return and they are refusing to refund. They have an F rating on BBB due to over 885 complaints against them and Government action(s) against the business.

Don't patronize a company that has a 75% 1 rating and we can see why. If you want unCARING and incompetent, this is it. They don't even CARE enough to respond to all the negative reviews. The platform is stiff and unresponsive, not user-friendly and completely oblique. When you are finding or providing a service you have to be able to COMMUNICATE DIRECTLY and EASILY. This platform scrapes you for money for every time you have to communicate with a caregiver or client. It's terrible. Also, we have been watching this for a long time and they literally do not CARE if they have terrible reviews meaning no one really runs this service at all. It's probably in some equity firm's portfolio along with 50 other companies and they put as little energy into it as possible while still ripping people off. Suggest they change the name of the company to "All we CARE About Is Your Credit Card #", "UnCARING", "Could CARE Less". Apparently they don't CARE if they are going down in flames which means no one really runs this "company".

Ich habe auch sehr sehr schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht, niemand hat sich auf meine Suchanzeige gemeldet, obwohl ich sehr viele Hundsitter angeschrieben hatte...es scheint mir wie Fakeprofile...ich habe das Betreuungsabo gekündigt, dennoch wurde der Betrag immer weiter Monat für Monat abgebucht bei paypal. Man erreicht niemanden bei dieser Firma. Ich habe versucht meine Lastschrift zu blockieren ....eine reine Abzockfirma, Finger weg!!!!

I created a profile on care.com so that I could locate a person who could drive me to and from a doctor's appointment. Care.com has charged my checking account for over $165 for some kind of membership and they say it is non-refundable. Today I have contacted care.com via phone and I have contacted my bank via phone and I have contacted the Better Business Bureau via the BBB website. Apparently these types of complaints are not new to care.com. I need my $165 refunded to me and to have my care.com account deleted / closed and to make sure no automatic deductions will occur from care.com in the future.

Care.com has become so money hungry. You can’t even explore their site without paying to do so. They want high price for background checks that only lasts 6 months and you have no access to it but through their site. They now charge you to work jobs. You pay for premium membership and that means practically nothing. For a person needing work you may not be able to afford all the fees they want to charge you . Some jobs are not even actual jobs because they capture people who are just looking to see how the site works. It’s awful! They used to be a good place to find actual work but not anymore. I will be deleting their app never to return. I’m a great caregiver and in past years I’ve worked for families who loved the care I gave them.

Just horrible. I needed help with my 93 year old mother and purchased the best plan. You input the price range and get the same candidates emailing you for 2-3x the price they were listed for. One said she was available then never returned phone calls. The people and the site are a sham and a waste of time. Live chat was no help, either, telling me to call the number on my bank statement and refused to give me a customer service number. They just kept explaining they're an online service. Your best bet is to just find someone locally and pay to run your own background check or go to a local agency that will do this for you. Wasted precious time as my mother is declining and I really needed the help from this company. Never again.

1 star for convenience - lots of carers in one place, good options for babysitting, shows which carers are popular with families in your neighbourhood. Cons - very expensive, glitchy app and website, inbox messages take long to load. Care has a ridiculous reporting policy where any user can report another without having to show any evidence. Care will disable the account and send a defamatory email to everyone about that user without doing any checks. This is ripe for abuse by disgruntled/unhappy carers and both myself and other families have had this experience. Customer service is very poor - there is no one manning the contact number, replies to emails can take over 2 weeks and even while the account is disabled, care continues to take payment with no refund offered even after the account is reinstated. Overall, a poor experience. Would not recommend.

One star is too many. Terrible company with deliberately next to no customer service to help (I could share details of my 5 attempts to resolve with them but won’t waste time on that). Deceptively billed me for a full year which I never would have considered signing up for and didn’t even provide good candidates. You are much better off to use word of mouth to find help. Amending to say that their email follow up mentioned in their reply was basically to say sorry we took advantage of you but zero willingness to actually fix the issue. Really unfortunate they acknowledge yet don’t actually do anything about a clearly ongoing issue based on the many many negative reviews with similar issues.
