Care.comReviews of care.com

I signed up for an annual membership for around $167. Then I found out they added an additional $264 hidden charge. When I reached out to customer service the rep gaslit me and canceled my account while refusing a refund. So now they have charged me nearly $500 while providing no access to their website.

I did not feel your service was honest and your billing is dishonest and deceiving.

LET OP! DIT IS FRAUDE. JE DENKT DAT JE EEN TEST PERIODE ABBONEMENT VAN EEN MAAND AFSLUIT EERSTE KEER, MAAR ZE BLIJVEN GELD PAKKEN VAN JE REKENING. 200E LICHTER BEN IK.

I paid 20 Euros for membership to care.com and then they charged me for another few months. I didn't get any offers in my area ( Dublin,Ireland) so I unsuscribed and cancelled the service. They sent me an email stating that I have to pay cancellation charge of 20 euros. I didn't pay as I cancelled straight after monthly payment. Next month they increased it to 40 euros. I ignored. Now they sent me a letter from Amsterdam called " SwiftDebt Assist" with charge of 72 euros for outstanding debt. And there are no name's of senders, just scan and pay. Other wise threatening me with court. What should I do? Why Amsterdam if I paid membership fees for Ireland? Someone could advise what action I should take?

We agreed on a time for today but nobody showed up and I’m getting no response to my messages. I’m discouraged at this time.

Avoid this company at allllll costs. I paid for services last year to clean people homes, became extremely sick and have been told by my doctor that I am unable to work. I cancelled my membership to discover it still active and cancelled it again. I’m having cardiovascular and neurological issues. They tried to take 24.99 from my account 5 times. They finally were able to successfully steal it and I contacted immediately to explain that I haven’t logged into their website for over a year and can provide proof that I’m sick and not permitted to work. They said it doesn’t matter and still refuses to refund my money. I will be contacting an attorney. What’s even more wild is I’m on Disability. They’re about to be shut down and done stolen from the wrong sick struggling woman. I wonder if their mothers even know that they raised heartless thieves. This company has no morals and should be called corrupt dot com. If you visit Reddit you’ll find a whole thread of people saying how they stole from them also. They reopen closed accounts and charge you even after you’ve cancelled with them. I thought I was losing it but other people are saying the same exact thing. I also contacted the BBB on them.

Paid for membership hoping to reach out to some carers. Turns out those carers can't read my messages unless they buy a membership. Total scam!

I paid for the premium monthly service as a care-seeker, and within ten minutes, the business cancelled my account claiming I violated community standards (not true). They are refusing to issue a refund, and telling me that they have the right to terminate at will for no cause and without stating a reason.
