There are many areas to improve. When you view an applicant from job view a range is shown for hourly rate. When I view the applicant in messaging a fixed rate is shown which is usually the high end of range. This is misleading information and you are putting service providers in a situation where they have to defend their rate. Make hourly rate info uniform in all views. I have had no response from safety team after I reported a service provider who was harassing via the messaging feature. This provider should have been banned from the site already, it's been 24 hrs.

Some of this was just incomprehensible. I put an ad in for adult care, and I got pet sitters. What? Then I told me I must reject these people if I'm not going to use them, but I had to do it all one by one I couldn't stop them coming. I couldn't stop the ad. It says you can it says if you follow a certain rules you can do this but it doesn't happen. The people were really good, the technology was either absent or bad cuz it wasn't working. Any positive you get are from the quality of people you have not from your technology. Makes sense?

I feel terrible for caregivers who keep submitting applications after I’ve alerted the company the position has been filled.

Got several applications but went through half a dozen before I could get someone to confirm a date and time for availability. Frustrating. Also confusing when I offer a pay range and somebody applies who is asking for above the range. Does it mean they will accept less or ignore them because they are asking too much?

The company is ok. Our sitter was wonderful! The problem is the system. I marked her as hired but she was never notified! Thank goodness I contacted her via text. Still don't know how to pay her because I never received the invoice to pay like last time.

I never received a phone call from either of the sitters who I had hired for the job.

Finally got a quality person apply for job posted and after response followed up

I am an Ofsted registered Childminder. I set up a profile on care.com to find people who need childcare in my local area and match my profile. My description was genuine and very clear (with a recent profile photo) but today care.com randomly sent me an email to tell me that my account has been closed. They have given me no reason, no warning in advance, nothing! I have only been on their website for a bit more than a month and I have not done anything wrong. I sent an email to ask for a proper explanation but I still haven't received a reply. It is a very disappointing experience. My advice to other people: be careful before you sign up and I would not pay until you know for sure care.com is not going to delete your account out of the blue. Fortunately I was just a basic member. Update: after three weeks they restored my account saying it was an error. I received one month premium membership for free.
