Charged my credit card then offered 0 services kept refusing me log on unless I paid more money for a background check so i could hire someone to help with moms hospice. I finally got them to remove the reccuring payments but still spent $60 plus for nothing and recieved nothing. Scam

Just be aware that Care.com will automatically renew your account (and charge your card/bank account) without notifying you... no email, no text, it just appeared on my bank statement... and they will refuse any refund.

I have had many years of education and experience as a personal care associate as well as I currently hold a bachelors in health and human services ! I’ve had several clients and I’ve had five star reviews. Great references ! However, I had one client where the mother and I didn’t click and so she complained about me on care.com and they discontinued my account and will no longer let me use the app🤷‍♀️ They don’t even care who applies most PCA s are not even qualified with no training and no education, lol ! And no CPR training or anything 🤷‍♀️ Care.com is a joke!

Read my review of dog sitter who canceled 3 hours before we were leaving for airport for a week long cruise! She still even has our house key 1 month after we gave it to her .

I do not know what kind of basic background check they do, but it is not a proper one. I met with one woman and after she gave me her full name I looked her up on the county records and she had been arrested several times, including grand theft at Walmart (caught on camera) just 2 years prior, and had been arrested for getting in an altercation with someone and brandishing a knife. I am a licensed PI and can do my own research but people like this should not pass even the most basic background check--these things should have been caught. Many of the applicants do not bother to read the job post either. They "apply" with a form letter and when you repeat the details etc no further response. I will definitely cancel before the month is up. I did find one lady who can at least fill in for occasional help but I dont think she will be the one for long term.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had my long term nanny give her notice in fall of 2024 which meant I had one month to find a new nanny for my children. Knowing this I signed up for 1 month subscription". I ended up finding a new nanny for my family 3 weeks later (not on care.com) and don't think anything else of it as I had subscribed for one month only. Fast forwarf a few months and I notice a r occuring charge on my credit card and upon looking into it I realize that care.com has been charging me since I signed up. They have an annual plan and a month to month plan and yet even when you sign up for a 1 month plan you still have to cancel it. This makes no sense to me as why wouldn't you just sign up on an ongoing basis. I feel very tricked and I feel this is completely unfair. When I reached ouy to customer service they were rude and dismissive stating that it's in the "fine print". I escalated the issue and the manager met me with the same response of not being willing to refund everything but the one month I signed up for. I will never recommend care.com and I will be telling all my mom friends never to use this scam of a service.

I created a login with care.com to seek a caregiver for my elderly mother. Once I signed up, I had several caregivers respond with interest then I was requested by care.com to review those caregivers I must pay a premium membership fee. Then supposedly if I hire someone, there is also a booking fee. I have question several people regarding this company being a scam and have been instructed to get all of the complaints and the people who complain and join together in a class action lawsuit for fraud, not living up to agreed membership benefits, and there was a list of other things that the class action lawsuit would cover.
