DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD#. Another company with no people and false promises. I am in the process of shutting down my credit card to make sure that I don't keep getting recurring charges. I immediately regretted it when it automatically signed me up for babysitting that I did not want. There are no people and an unmonitored phone number.

Useless app and website with no customer service. It’s a scam. They took the subscription fee and then locked my account. There is no customer service number to call.

’m deeply disappointed with the way Care.com handles caregiver-related concerns. The company appears unwilling to get involved in resolving issues or addressing valid complaints from caregivers. Their review platform is both biased and flawed, as it allows clients to post defamatory reviews without verifying whether services were agreed upon or actually rendered. Furthermore, caregivers and service providers are given no opportunity to respond to or dispute these reviews, leaving them vulnerable to public misrepresentation. Care.com seems to allow misuse of its platform by clients, with little to no effort to investigate or protect the professional reputations of providers. This lack of accountability and fairness is disheartening for those who rely on the platform for their livelihood.

Nie wurde eine E-Mail beantwortet, noch hat sich Jemand auf mein Inserat oder Anfragen gemeldet. Lasst euch lieber in einer Firma einstellen, wo ihr sicher seid, dass es echt ist. Profil kann man nicht löschen, nur deaktivieren und zum Kontakt mit Care.com aufzunehmen, gibt es nur eine Mailadresse laut google... ob diese seriös ist, weiss ich nicht...

I signed for membership at care.com. They charged my credit card. Then I tried to contact the care givers on the listing, but was told that I need to be verified. My email was verified, but then they needed a photo of me and my ID. I did not like that but went ahead anyway. Then I was told they cannot find the camera on my computer. And finally I got an email that said that my account was canceled. No refunds. A scam!

I signed up for a 3-month premium subscription thinking I’d find qualified, responsive childcare providers. Instead, I got ghosted by most sitters, and the few who replied immediately asked me to take things off-platform—blatantly unsafe and against their own policies. To make matters worse, there’s no way to cancel an active subscription—only the auto-renewal. I emailed support directly to cancel. No response. When I finally got through, I was told refunds are “not allowed,” despite zero usable service being delivered. This is the exact type of deceptive practice Care.com was fined $8.5 million for by the FTC in 2024—and clearly, nothing has changed. Avoid this platform. You’re better off burning your money.

Their website does not tell you a total of much you will be charged by card for membership. When you click through to find out, they charge you a membership that is nonrefundable. If you call customer service and explain the mistake, they refuse to make any exceptions, even five minutes later. I’m sure they make a lot of money off of people this way.
