All memberships can be canceled by selecting the option to downgrade your account under the Membership Information section of your account. Once a membership is canceled a confirmation is always sent to your Care.com alerts folder in your Inbox. Care.com memberships do renew automatically until canceled and if a promotional code was used then it would only apply to your initial membership.
