I shared feedback and asked for the fraudulent money they took from my account back and they said ‘tough luck’
Do not use Care.com. Their hidden auto renew will screw you if hundreds if not thousands of dollars. When this is pointed out they say ‘tough luck’. They will not refund your money. They do not Care about anything but money. I want to get together with all of the others who have had money stolen to pull together a Class Action Law Suit to get our money back. Let them pay for their dishonest business practices and shut Care.com for good.

We're sorry for your frustrations, Ruben. As stated in our Terms of Use and twice on the upgrade page when you had initially signed up, all of our subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. This is a setting you can edit at any point after upgrading in your Account & Settings page by selecting the Downgrade option. We apologize if you misunderstood our billing policies, but do hope you were able to find the care you were looking for! Best wishes!

Scam
Wasted so much time filling in all my details to find out you can’t read your messages unless you pay .. what a scam
Response from Care.comNov 16, 2017
We're so sorry you feel that way. Amy. In order to exchange messages on the site, one party has to be a paying member. If the family you sent your application to has Premium membership, they are able to reply to your application if they wish to. We apologize for the confusion and we wish you all the best!

Please be advised that Care.com does not care… After 10+ years of membership they cancelled me without warning/explanation & sent out intimidating emails about me to ALL MY CONTACTS with Care.com.
Because a crazy mom complained to Care.com (see details below), they immediately cancelled from my Care.com membership –without notice or explanation. I was an active member of Care.com for 10+ years, I had 3 raving reviews all with 5 stars & never had a problem before this. They did not respond to my inquiry as to why.
Care.com sent out emails to ALL MY CONTACTS saying “… (my) membership has been closed because this member no longer meets the eligibility criteria for Care.com membership, has violated our Terms of Use, or because we have determined that he or she is not suitable to use our services.” So now my potential jobs as well as my current clients are left feeling that I have done some horrible thing and are probably questioning my reputation…
This action by Care.com has caused me financial loss and has given me a stigma in the care community. All because Care.com has chosen to believe someone who is crazy.
A mother of a 6 year old boy was so completely impossible to work for that I discontinued working for her after 5 days. Believe it or not, it was not because her son smeared his poop on the back inside door of my car. He put his finger up his butt hole to dig out poop & smear on the inside of my car door. He then violently kicked my car air, before taking off his seat belt. Even still, I was willing to continue to care for him because I still found him sweet & sensitive enough of the time & even though I told his mother that taking him in my care was no longer an option, she later talked me into trying it again the next week, which I did and all was fine about that.
When I told the boy’s mother what happened, she firmly informed me that I was NOT to talk to her in that fashion, that using the word “disaster” was not acceptable to her. I apologized & figured I would do my best not to make her feel bad if something happened.
Of the five times I worked for her: two of the scheduled days she was not at the house at the agreed upon time & I was left waiting for her to arrive. She changed the agreed upon time for work several times -without notice, but I said nothing. She continually forgot schedules & details. I was alarmed to see her parking her car in the middle of the car lane at the school parking lot –blocking/preventing other cars who may try to pull out of their parking stall, then chatting it up with the teachers –prolonging a potential problem, and revealing her disrespectfulness. But the deal-breaker was when she began harassing me with endless extremely rude text message very early on a day I was not scheduled to work for her:
This crazy mom sent me a total of 51 harassing text messages over a few hours’ time beginning at 7:46 A.M. she sent inflammatory texts accusing me of losing the Target gift card & demanding why I didn’t leave it at the same place as the last time? Not only did I leave it at the same place (with the receipt attached), but I texted her of this on that same day. It was ironic to see that my previous text to her detailed this, but she did not read it. A minute later she texts me saying it’s not okay that I let her son have it, & went on & on about how it is my responsibility to safeguard her things. A minute after that demanded that I also produce the Ruby’s gift card used that same day. I had already told her that day that the $15 balance was exceeded & the waitress never came back after I gave it to her. She apparently forgot & was sure that I had misused her card & began reprimanding me about my carelessness & accusing me that the balance was $25. She forgot that we used the card the previous week also. When I reminded her about that, she then accused me of not be truthful due to she found it highly suspicious that the $15 balance would be used up to the exact dollar amount as she found it hard to believe. I told her I just paid the rest in cash out-of-pocket. She then said she believed me, but reprimand me again for not giving her the receipt (that the waitress never gave me & I told about, but she forgot -again..). All this harassing texting was going on while I was on the phone with my brother who had a motorcycle accident the previous day & needed me to help him. I told her that I may need to visit my brother (out of state) to help drive him while he recovers from the surgery. She then said “Are you cancelling work for today?” She forgot that I work for another family Mondays, Tuesdays & some Fridays & that I was not scheduled with her till Wednesday -2 & 1/2 days away. She continued to ask me to work that Monday & the next day & I had to repeatedly let her know I was not available and had to keep reminding her of my schedule. Then she demanded to know why I would work Mon & Tues for another family, then leave town to help my brother on Wed. I told her that the pin that was put in his ankle prevented him from doing anything for 2 days. Then she wanted to know the time of my airline flight & insinuated I was lying to her. Not that it was any of her business; I let her know that I would be driving. She then said she found my cancelling for Wednesday (2 & 1/2 days’ notice) was unacceptable to her due to it was “so last minute.” I had to CHANGE MY CELL PHONE NUMBER because she would NOT STOP THE CRAZY TEXTING!
Her extremely rude, obtrusive & disrespectful texts left me with no choice but to discontinue working for her. So, I had my friend return her house key with a note that I will be assisting my brother for several weeks off & on and I wish her the best, but I could not continue working for her. She complained to Care.com and they cancelled my membership without verifying anything she said!!
No business should be allowed to damage someone’s reputation this way. Just like everyone, they should be accountable for their actions –not to mention the crazy mom that complained…

This is a scam website (should get ZERO stars)
This is a scam website. There are many negative reviews online. Not sure if they’re simply mining information for identity theft‘s or possibly a front for human trafficking. Do not give them money or any information

Hvis du faktisk er på denne siden for å jobbe eller tilby jobb, styr heller bare unna.. De skal ha betalt for å søke på jobb, betalt for å kontakte folk etc etc... Dessuten rotete system og hele siden virker useriøs.

Charged my account with $423.72 without …
Charged my account with $423.72 without my permission. I had no idea my subscription was expiring and you would automatically renew and charge my account with $423.72. My 80 year old husband is in a nursing home where I have to pay $6000 a month for his care. I cannot afford to renew my account. I want this reimbursed to me.
Response from Care.comNov 16, 2017
All of our subscriptions auto renew until set to cancel and this is clearly outlined at the time of purchase before selecting a subscription. At Care.com, we know that the process of finding the perfect caregiver is no easy task and we set out to make that experience as helpful and seamless as possible. We cannot know for certain which stage of the search/hiring process each customer is in, so we put the control in our member’s hands to inform us when they have fulfilled their caregiving needs. Janice, please email us at [email protected] so that we could look into your account and see what can do to help you with the refund. Hope to hear from you soon!
