Candidates absolutely rubbish...no one got back to me. The worst part is it is a rolling subscription. I thought I was signing up for 1 month subscription but have just realised that my credit card was charged for the last 3 months. I found excellent candidates on Gumtree and now have a wonderful housekeeper. DO NOT USE CARE.COM

Never found a job through this, convinced it’s a scam. The search options don’t work. I selected a specific distance because I don’t drive, and specified ‘babysitting jobs’ instead of ‘qualified childminder’ jobs because I’m not qualified. I searched and loads of jobs came up that we’re miles and miles away, and lots of jobs that wanted a qualified childminder. I deactivated my account because this was all I could find to do and did not expect to be charged £9 again the next month for such a crappy service but I was! I realised you can’t just deactivate your account you will still be charged - you have to delete your account however I can’t find a button to do this ANYWHERE on the Mobile site. In FAQ it says ‘under membership information’ there is the option to delete your account. False - there is only the option to upgrade your account and pay more per month!! Avoid this site like the plague it’s a total scam!

I hired one housekeeper who quit after I caught her in a lie. She also took money. I tried to hire 4 “people” who kept changing the date they would stop by for an interview and also contacted people who never replied. I gave two people bad reviews for dependability, but my poor reviews were dropped and the good reviews stayed on their profiles. I’m very disappointed because I’m disabled and need the help. I finally looked for consumer complaints and will stop wasting my time trying to find someone through care.com. I am a premium member.

Be careful of the caregivers! These people are scammers. I hired one caregiver who was a thief. She referred another girl who was a thief as well. Both were fired. You can’t trust these folks.

They cancel your membership for NO REASON. Literally most ppl do not even respond. I personally think some of it is "fake news" I'm a private caregiver with EXCELLENT REFERENCES AND EXPERIENCE. I think it is odd how NO ONE even messages me. I called and complained one time and MIRACULOUSLY the same week I "recieved" a few messages that never went ANYWHERE. Im not saying it does not bring families together, but I have doubt..

Terrible company and not a great resource! I have tried over the course of 4 years and never found a sitter. Most recently, last September I renewed my membership looking for a sitter. I found one, not on their website, called 3 times to cancel but had to wait on line for 10 min. I'm a working mom so kept giving up. Eventually got so busy I totally forgot. Well, they have been charging my credit card, one I don't use anymore so never look at for the last 10 months. Never got an email confirming payment or an automatic email to see how my search was going. Finally once I saw these charges I called, sat through the 20 min wait time only for them to tell me they couldn't refund more than a month and to lie about having someone from billing or a manager to call me back. But to top it off, I got about 6 emails a day once I downgraded my service trying to get me to upgrade. What a slimy, unethical, and obviously uneducated group of people to make it so hard for busy, working families. Shame on you!

Found this organisation when I was looking for a home cleaner. Seemed quite good at first as I could see profiles of individuals which I felt was better than going through an agency. However as soon as I tried to contact one found I needed to subscribe for at least a month which would cost me £35. What a rip-off even if it turned out to be successful. Having then read other reviews though, doesn't seem worth touching with a barge pole.

I've had nothing but bad experiences with Care.com. My husband is a quadriplegic and we have tried to find good, qualified caregivers through Care.com but instead it's been nothing but a horror. Anyone can put an ad on Care.com ad they do. Unqualified people who have come into my home, no background checks. Now, Care.com doesn't even let you contact the person directly or give out your own phone number. They get involved in absolutely everything. It's a horrible service where they're making a lot of money off of people that need help and not providing a quality service. I've had better luck on Craigslist.
