Care.com has the most poorly functioning app around if you attempt to do anything other than post a job and review resumes. I ordered a background check and paid $60 for it and never got it. The customer service is even worse than the app. No one ever answers the phone, it’s just an endless litany of options that never lead you to a person. They don’t respond to emails and when they do it’s ebtirely unhelpful and the messages look they were written by someone who has no grasp of the English language. I will NEVER use this service again. They could have the best nannys in the world on there and I wouldn’t use it no matter how desperate I was. It’s angood idea that has been terribly executed.

Dit blijkt een site te zijn die nergens prijzen vermeldt en waar je continu tegen betaalmuren oploopt. Wanneer je dan hebt betaald om op een zogenaamde sollicitatie te reageren blijkt dat dit een automatisch bericht(!) was van een hulp die allang niet meer beschikbaar is.

After 10+years as a member/provider of…
After 10+years as a member/provider of care.com, I was abruptly, without any explanation, terminated. In response, I wrote (emailed) three times to care.com requesting a reason and/or explanation for the termination. I have received all positive reviews and considered care.com a legitimate and reliable source for connecting to potential employers for short term and long term services that I provide. Care.com response is a standard statement that the company's policy is that it can "terminate members at anytime without explanation". I find this to be outrageous, and possibly illegal. Where is the appeal and due process ? Why is care.com legally able to operate in this manner? I would like to get the support of other terminated members and file a class action suit against care.com for financial and emotional damages due to abrupt and arbitrary termination.

Zeer slechte en klantonvriendelijke…
Zeer slechte en klantonvriendelijke handelswijze houdt deze (te dure) site met fake profielen er op na. Opzegging via site/ contact/ e-mail wordt niet gehonoreerd. Kast naar muur en terug. Ik wil gewoon opzeggen en geen halve opzegging (u wordt teruggezet naar het basis lidmaatschap na opzeggingsverzoek 1) of verzoek tot invullen van nieuw online formulier (formulier voor uw verzoek gegevensbescherming na opzeggingsverzoek 2 ?!?!) om dit geregeld te krijgen. Opzeggen = opzeggen.

Do NOT join Care
Do NOT join Care. Com. They were charging my credit card $43.45 monthly without my permission for a membership I didn't join. I found out yesterday and today I called them and they are only refunding this month's illegal charge. They kept the rest of the charges they stole. I cancelled my FREE membership, that suddenly they were charging my credit card without my consent. They are not trustworthy.

we understand that you have some concerns regarding the auto-renewing subscription of Care.com.
As stated in our Terms of Use Care.com is an automatically renewing subscription service and it is ultimately the member’s responsibility to downgrade their subscription or contact us for assistance once through using the service. The same information is stated twice on the upgrade page when you had initially signed up.
Moreover, that is a setting you can edit at any point after upgrading in your Account & Setting page by selecting the Downgrade option.

Got terminated twice
Got terminated twice, all for doing nothing more than providing awesome service to down d's and families. This is such a joke. Well I'm taking my business elsewhere. I wasn't even paying to use the service, I was a basic member and they're not required to tell you why you got terminated? Uh yeah I think you should.

If you are not a paying member they will try to pressure you into joining as a paying member and in my case I did join and when I switched my account back to a free account 2 days later I got an email saying my account was suspended and would be terminated in 10 days. This all because in 1994 I wrote a check that bounced to a grocery store, it has all been cleared up, paid and closed in 1994. Over the years I was a paying member and I had paid Care.com for several background checks with no problems, but as soon as I go back to a free member what happened 25 years ago is not a big deal. RIP Care.com

I get jobs emailed to me in a fifty mile radius.. Who would drive fifty miles for childcare? It's constant spam!
Shows my charge as £8 per hour and can't be changed according to customer service. I charge approximately £5 so its loosing me customers!
Awful, bad design. Slow, poor customer service, no phone support only online, totally inadequate.
Do not use.... Terrible design of website!!!
