Like most of the complaints being mentioned here, I also just found out that I have been charged constantly despite asking them to end the membership after the one month mark. Plus looks like they do not make easy for people to communicate via email even after the job posting. You get the initial reply and nobody replies after that. People do not realise they are constantly being charged as they do not sent out email/text notification to say that the money has been transferred like every other company does. I guess it's easier to steal that way. Just asking other people I know to close their accounts as they will not refund the money. When I kept asking them why I was not notified of the charge via email, there is no answer. I have been promised for a one month refund when I have been illegally charged for the last 5 months. Plus they take money out at different times of the month so if you checked your account after the first month and though it's been cancelled, Beware! The money may come out few days later or even a week later. They deserve zero star.

As stated in our Terms of Use and twice on the upgrade page when you had initially signed up, all of our subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. This is a setting you can edit at any point after upgrading in your Account & Settings page by selecting the Downgrade option. We apologize if you misunderstood our billing policies, but do hope you were able to find the care you were looking for! Best wishes!

Listen, I don't do this often, so I hope you take advantage of my advice and experience. Don't fall victim to this company. They provide an ideal service yet they do so in a predatory way. Let me share my experience. You can decide from there. Back when my kids needed a nanny, I signed up for care.com and paid for their service which allows me to pay the nanny, recruit nanny, and overall manage the care of my kids. I barely used it. They were charging me monthly, and I just didn't see the value anymore as my kids no longer use nanny services. So, I went on their website to cancel in November 2017. Turns out, there isn't really an easy way to cancel your membership online, and no customer service number to call listed on their site. I had to do some serious Google searches for the number. Finally, I found a customer service number through a site called "gethuman". Once I got a person on the phone, I was told they would cancel my membership and I felt taken care of and all finished. Here is the predatory part... they didn't cancel. In fact, they even kept taking money. They simply altered the dates, times and amounts they took. So, the next month when it didn't come out of my account at the normal date, I thought it was canceled. Nope. Over the course of this year they have taken my membership dues... just sporadically and in unpredictable amounts. No longer was it the nice simple payment out of my account on the 18th of the month. It was random withdrawals which equaled exactly the amounts they should have gotten as member dues for the year. With holidays approaching, I'm sure I'm not the only one watching their bank app daily. What do you know, this morning I see a charge from them for what appeared a random $78 since a monthly membership is $35. I jump through all the hoops to get a person on the phone, again a year later. I'm told they will submit my refund request to their refund team. They will look into it and in 5-7 days decide if I will get a refund. I'm sorry? You better believe I asked for a supervisor. Turns out, a supervisor will give me a call back in the next 2 business days... are you kidding me? So, they took my money, with directions from not to and now I have to wait up to 2 business to talk to someone who can send it to a team who has an additional 7 days to decide if I get any portion of the $400 they have stolen from me over the year? Really? It's a sham. They are stealing money from people. What's more, they have set themselves up on Facebook so a customer can't leave a review, and same with Google. I can only deduce it means they know they have a bunch of people who have bad things to say about their service and billing. They are doing their best to keep everyone else from knowing. Since they attempt to block my voice, you all are subjected to my outrage. Thanks for reading. Share with everyone, I want others to know what kind of company this is, no matter how they try to prevent my voice from being heard...

I signed up for a 3 month promo. Every potential care giver that I reached out to either didn't reply or was no longer working. My 3 month expired... oh well. I just realized care.com has been charging my credit card increasing amounts ever since. I know... shame on me for not paying better attention. The amount just reached a level that caught my attention. I tried calling. It's a sales line, no customer service to help with this type of issue. Emailed. Found where my credit credit card information was attached on my profile, but there isn't a way to delete it. Finally decided to chalk this up to a SCAM/lesson learned and move on with my life. Cancelled my credit card to make sure this doesn't happen again.

I'm of the firm belief a large proportion of advertisements seeking care givers on care.com.au are false. I'm attuned to reading between the lines of false and/or misleading advertising & conclude the only thing care.com.au does well is exactly this. They post their own advertisements to mislead & boost membership. The laws and regulations set down by the ACCC and our court's don't allow for the blatant & continuous manipulation of fact and the observance of reasonable commercial behaviour patterns plainly disregarded by care.com.au I would urge everyone who has been stung by care.com.au to lodge a complaint with the ACCC. Nothing will change & they'll continue to practice until we, those who have been taken advantage of, complain. Get mad & then get even.

They take your money and run. I cannot message anyone, even though my subscription has 2 weeks left. Don't think all these vacancies are actually real. Avoid !

I am a 100% Disabled Vet. I receive a small stipend from the VA to hire a caregiver to help me. The VA will not help me find a caregiver. About a year ago, I ran a Care.com ad to hire a caregiver. I spent many hours writing my ad and sending requests. Just as I was beginning to interview applicants, my account was cancelled for no reason. I was blocked out of the website, and I lost all my profile and contact info for applicants. Thank God my son stepped forward to help me, and act as my caregiver. Unfortunately, he had to move out of town for work. In desperation, I thought I would try Care.com, again, last week. I paid for an upgraded account with background checks. Right after I started getting responses to my ad, my account was cancelled, again, for no reason. As with last time, Care.com will not give me a reason. I looked at Care.com policies, and in no way did my ad or profile violate any rules. I am literally sickened by this treatment of disabled veterans. Right now, my body is shaking and I am nauseated. I think blood pressure is way too high. I am depressed and don't know what to do. I am trying to find a veterans' rights attorney to help me. Whatever you do, don't do business with these hateful people. They will take your money and dump you for no reason. If these heartless, soulless people can do this to a disabled vet, just think of what they will do to you!
