Care.com cares nothing about the users, only $$$. They charge for EVERYTHING and even if you didn't choose it they offer no refund. I I had my account closed after 1 months, forfeiting my last two months. They don't make it easy to cancel your account so beware that they will keep charging. care.com is a great idea but the owners do a horrible job of administering services. NEVER again would I use this service.

As another reviewer said. They get money from their customers credit cards without authorization and without notifying. If you complaint they said that it was authorized by the credit card owner which mean us! Their customers! I never sign up for a premium membership but they began billing me for the premium membership since 08-14-2017 up to February 14, 2019.It was when I saw that unknown charge on my credit card that I realized it. They got my credit card info from the background check that I ordered on their website. I email with them back and forth but they keep saying there's no mistake and that Im confused. As another reviewer wrote. We cant allow them to continue doing that and we have to fight to get our money back.I have evidence of what Im talking about but Im still looking for more evidence to get legal advice. Also I wil file a formal complaint to BBB. I invite all Care.com customers who have been on the same situation to file a complaint with BBB and get legal advise. As more people complaint, more possibilities we will have to get our money back. On BBB website you will read about a legal case that they already lost, regarding another issue and they will need to pay back a lot of money.

Care.com is a terrible service. They do not protect their subscribers. I was being harassed by a woman on that site. I contacted care.com on three separate occasions and heard nothing. I finally had to close down my account in order to prevent this woman from contacting me again. I then opened up a new account. after a week I got a message from care.com saying my account had been closed. After several inquiries they finally told me it was because I had a previous account. I explained to them the circumstances around the situation. They still did not offer me support about being harassed and would not allow me to open up an account. I joined sittercity and got a job immediately. I do not recommend care.com.

I have been using Care.com for years as a caretaker. I have had many successful, long-term jobs with the families I've met through Care.com. I recently took a hiatus from this site due to an increased work load, but I returned last week in search of a part-time after school nanny/tutor position. I applied to many openings only to later learn that I now have to upgrade my account in order for families to respond to my application? As a professional teacher, I am not about to pay a minimum of $20 a month for prospective families to respond to my application. I have NEVER had an issue finding a job through this site without upgrading to their paid services, so I guess it makes sense why they are trying to charge reliable sitters-- everyone wants a piece of the "pie". With that said, I will been searching for child care jobs elsewhere!

I have been a member of care.com for several years, paying them 160 dollars a year. They suddenly cancelled my account and will offer NO explanation other then I had another account that was closed for cause and I am ineligible for the service. BS. I suspect identity theft (yes, my identity has been stolen and I have a stalker) Now I cannot find a sitter for my children and care.com is wrong about my account, but says decision is final and irreversible. Some advocate for families, plain english, they suck. Look at all the reviews, all the cancellations, ALL THE BAD REVIEWS. The lawsuits, the anger. Shady stuff.

ZERO STARS! If I could take this fraudulent scam of a company before a real live Judge on charges of Fraud and defamation, I would. As a Nurse that works primarily private duty now in Home Health, this "company" takes to task making themselves judge, jury and the state nursing board when it indiscriminately terminates the accounts of its CNAs, LPNs, and RNs without explanation or cause. To add insult to injury they defame these professionals by emailing all contacts/resume recipients they've made on their site claiming they have terminated these professionals without explanation. Imagine that for just a moment. We have to answer to the state nurses board, be in good standing, certifications renewed regularly, but caredotcom overrides all of that can deem a nurse unworthy based on an undisclosed reason or complaint. I have made it my personal mission to expose this company for the money grubbing fraud it is. It answers it's own ads. It responds to your ads. It steals your profile info and sends messages to other members without your permission. Nothing about this company is legitimate and I say that BEFORE discussing their unethical and recurring fraudulent charging of their clients credit cards. I urge you to Google this company and do your research as both a job seeker and a job provider. There is plenty (thousands upon thousands) of evidence out there to back up the claims of fraud and unethical business practices. Just Google reviews. MY BEST ADVICE: BEWARE!!!+ SCAMMERS. Edit: In response to the response from care.com: I'll take a hard pass. You had no interest in speaking with me when you teminated my account and emailed all my potential families telling them CAREMEMBER WAS REMOVED FROM CARE COMMUNITY, leaving them all scared I had committed some crime or abuse. Thanks but no thanks. I'd be ashamed to be connected to this scam company. And I'd advise all caregivers and families to seek help and jobs elsewhere.

Horrible. They sneak recurrent payments on you. No announcement anywhere how and when to cancel those - and you cannot do it in a straightforward way. 35 pounds/ month!!! And quality of 'carers' is abismal - a 'nanny' chewing a chewing gum and looking at her nails during the interview, only interested in rates, etc - 99% of them! This company refuse refunds for unused month of subscription - of course unannounced in emails or in any communication with them - when it was their mistake. Never again.

In 2019 my employer added care com as a employee benefit and encouraged employees to sign up for their services. I signed up, several days later I get a canned Email from care.com stating that my account was terminated. I replied to the Email and recieved a generic looking response stating that my account was closed and cannot be reopened. Now I'm looking at the reviews and see that the service from care.com is 100% worthless, not a single positive review, I'm glad they terminated me, it probably saved me from falling victim to their scam.
