I pay for a premium membership but care.com only seems to protect the families posting jobs. I was messaging a lady who wouldn't speak to me on the phone or meet in public so after a few messages I told her I wasn't comfortable going to a strangers home alone and I thanked her for her time. The lady wrote a falsified review stating she had interviewed me and gave me 1 star. I contacted care.com and even had screenshots of our interaction, they refused to do anything about it. They do not put the safety of their caregivers first.

It just noticed that I have been charged UNJUSTLY for over two years as a premium member by you even though I have DOWNGRADED my account at least TWICE to basic during this period. Despite having downgraded to a basic membership, I am shocked to find out that since Jan 2017 I have been charged continuously for the premium account membership fee of £45 for 27months. I have just downgraded my account AGAIN to BASIC now but I have NOT RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION EMAIL. I feel by not giving evidence on downgrading history Care.com is holding members ransom to premium charges. Also, once you give your credit card details you have no option to edit it out. Beware of Care.com and do not use them. They are SCAMMERS.

You are better off using any other website besides care! I am a very highly reviewed nanny who was on that site for several years and I had tons of positive five star reviews with zero negatives. I also had plenty of photos, an introduction video, detailed written information and an enhanced background check, etc. I had so many requests and literally thousands of families in my inbox. Some were inquiries and others were clients who needed last minute “on call” care which is my niche. I would often change cities and zip codes because I like to travel. I know that my profile generated a whole lot of business for them on a national scale. Well one day a complete jerk and possible pervert contacted me via care for help so I looked him up by his name - turns out that he was a convicted criminal. I didn’t accept his last minute and late night request for childcare in a polite but direct way. He then complained about me so care.com deleted my account! I realized prior to this experience that care had lousy customer service so I already saved screenshots of all of my reviews and profile and everything I worked hard for which are now on my personal website that gets a lot of hits for childcare and petcare in several cities! I outsmarted care’s bad tactics. I feel a jealous employee might have targeted me too. Whoever is running that company is a complete fool! I see they are ripping people off left and right according to these reviews which come up on the first page of google. I’m glad they are being exposed for the fraud that they are! I was one of their top nannies and I know that for a fact. They were foolish to ban me because their business has been going downhill ever since! They changed a bunch of their policies which make it so hard to even communicate with people directly. You have to be online at “exactly the same time” the other person is and communicate through their website - what a stupid idea!! Their web site department needs an overhaul in a major way. Don’t deal with care. Use facebook, nextdoor, craigslist, whatever else you can...There’s a lot of other nanny sites that are 100 x better than care. I’m on all of them with much success! They just pay the most for advertisement but they should have put that money in customer service and training instead!! It’s a shame because it used to be a decent site to connect with locals but they got really greedy. Now every family I know who used to use them have horrible things to say about care. Save yourself the trouble! Care do me a favor? Don’t respond to me please. The generic replies to all of these reviews are so pathetic. You don’t “look into” anything so don’t make promises you can’t keep. Thanks in advance! Everyone already knows how terrible care.com is and other good nannies I know don’t even want to be on care anymore. They avoid it like the plague. Good job care! Thanks for “caring”. Change the name of care.com to careless.com instead!

Lots of spam on the site .Every job I have applied to in my area has not been genuine ,they’ve all come back with the same response ‘ please contact me on what’s app or viber ‘

I tried listing a job for a month and got no single good candidate who actually showed up. eventually I found a nanny through a friend. I closed the job and downgraded my profile. Lo and behold 7 months after that I realized my credit card is still charged $39 every single mth by care.com without any notification! Their CS is so bad and only want to offer the recent charge that was charged a week ago. I immediately closed my account to prevent any further charge and received an email notification. The next day my membership was active again and set to downgrade. it's ridiculous! Fortunately I managed to find the button to delete credit card information.

BEWARE OF GIVING YOUR CREDIT CARD ONLINE TO CARE.COM!!! This company took my credit card online and charged me $320. They wouldnt stop charging me even though I canceled. I had to have my card company put a block on them. American Express said they have a lot of complaints from care.com for this. I talked to care.com but they REFUSE to return my money even tho I signed up for a free month, canceled,and never used the service or even logged in after the first time. I even wrote to the corporate office and they are very shady about it. BEWARE!!

They close down my profile because of my sure name, right after I became premium member! I think it is totally again the right of consumer to close down a paid profile without any notice right after getting money from me! you don't bother your self to answer my email. I think every one should report this site as untrustable. I am about to dispute my money.

This company is fraudulently misselling their sham services. They automatically send job 'applications' without the candidates even applying themselves. Under this pretence, they force you to sign up to read your messages. None of the people who automatically applied even met my basic criteria. I asked to exercise my rights to cool off via the distance selling legislation and have thus far been ignored. There sham telephone number is never answered. So angry I got caught up in this farce. I will be pursuing a refund via my credit card company. This company should be shut down. Please save your money and STAY AWAY! And to care.com, there is no point replying to this review with a message saying you are sorry unless you change your dodgy business model.
