I wish I could give zero stars. I’m so disappointed in care.com. I have been a loyal user for years and all of a sudden my account got banned from the site. They gave no explanation, but took it upon themselves to email everyone I’ve ever messaged on the site and tell them I was terminated. They send out a very alarming email, so of course my new employers were concerned and almost chose not to hire me. In the future I will be using more reliable apps and sites to find nannying positions. To add the cherry on top, care.com has an app that is almost impossible to use. It’s not updated at all and glitches all the time. They also allow ANYONE to leave a review on you and if it’s false, they won’t take it down. They allow defamation of character. I’m furious and I will not stay silent. I will make sure people get the word that care.com SUCKS.

Mail al maanden zonder enig respons. Als mijn lidmaatschap nu weer wordt doorgezet maak ik er een rechtzaak van. Het is klaar dan. Jullie horen de klanten goed te woord te staan en niet geld af te troggelen. Ik doe alles volgen de algemene voorwaarden dus bevestig dat! Graag zie ik deze dagen een mail met echt antwoord dat mijn lidmaatschap stopt. Emma.

My husband joined Care.com in search for an occasional babysitter as he’s a disabled veteran with Cancer and we are trying to enjoy as much time together as we can. I work full time as well as I’m his caregiver. He joined the site and the following day Care.com deactivated his membership for no reason. He had reached out to 3 candidates to try and set up a meet and greet with them and our 2 children. I tried to contact care.com but they failed to give any information at all. I would never recommend this site due to the I professionalism, failure to have specific communication, and the canceling memberships for no reason at all. I believe they canceled the membership because it was a male looking for full time help. If you can’t trust the site, then how can you trust the candidates they hire

If I could rate it less than 1 star, I would. Reasons for less than 1 star: 1. The technology to navigate the website is old and substandard. 2. The messaging on their site doesn’t work properly and you won’t know it until you send a follow up with the potential babysitter and vice versa. 3. I bought a 1 month membership at a premium price as I only needed to post a once off job, and they continued to debit my account after the 1 month. When I complained they said it was written in the fine print that they would continue to charge me and wouldn’t refund my money back. I guess they do this until people notice. Not sure what the point of electing to pay a premium price for a short period of time is, if they continue to charge you. Not a very eithical business model. So the 1 job I posted ended up costing me much more to put it on their site than the baby sitter cost. 4. I use a site called juggle street occasionally too for babysitter jobs... it’s not amazing technology either, but 100 times better than care.com and there are much more people to choose from.

I cancelled my account within one month of signing up. I am POSITIVE I cancelled. Just discovered they've been billing me for 2 years. I never received notices they were billing me. I have now asked to see the records that show I signed up for automatic billing (an unethical business practice) and that they attempted to notify me every month they billed me. They refuse to send me any documents and now refuse to answer my emails. And, they've refused to send me the corporate address, which, as a US company is a legal obligation. So, not only did they literally steal 1k from me they're breaking corporate law. So, I'm looking for an attorney to file a class action suit against them. There are countless people with similar stories. They are literally stealing money from people.

Care.com is the worst online service . I’m a professional nanny and I was looking to change families . After 6 yrs of being on care.con the site terminated me due to a small misdemeanor. They told me they only give you 10 days to expunge it . You can’t talk to a ENGLISH person in the USA only in the phillipenes. They ran a background check without my approval or knowledge .

After discovering through an informant as to why i was terminated - is the most degrading feeling ever to not be given any reason or any thought to consider but to have the person's name on blast for everyone to see is truly a cold and heartless act ...I have helped families grow for years I have been through ups and downs and bend over backwards for families and nobody's ever done this to me and I know the couple that did this to me based on One assignment that I was taking on as a challenge to keep me working in between jobs. This couple were already nervous from their travels and taking their infant to a wedding planned they already said they had one bad experience the night before , with a different nanny, they cancelled on me the first time. They could not even consider a relatives help. I was eager enough to help and assist them at their time of need when I was reviewed as being frazzled they were the ones that were frazzled-- this took away all my years of building my reputation ..how can anyone be this heartless and as a matter of fact care staff called me asking me questions and then replying that I'm so nice to do what i do -what one bad review or one star review could do to someone who's been working in this company for over a decade. I will not reveal my identity but if anyone has seen any recent pattern of this same situation I would gladly be here to discuss and the irony is I am in the town where they are headquartered~~i was only at the hotel room with the parents for minutes, while these parents were still in the hotel room and they know that their child is at a stage of being afraid with a new stranger - I know very well who did this to me and this was not a long time assignment I never even got to stay - they decided to have one parent stay behind but their stress spilled over on me and I lost my reputation and good character because of this incident, you see they terminate you with no hesitation and send every single correspondent an email about your termination and review... how wonderful is that to thank :/ I don't know who is on staff but I have never had any disagreements with anyone, and never had a review until this matter, and that was grounds for termination so be warned.

I signed up for one month to find a babysitter for my child. I did not end up using their service and did not renew my subscription. However, the company has kept billing me for their services without notifying me for the next five months until I finally noticed it on my credit card bill. They refuse to refund. Be careful when you sign for their services, they will keep billing you until your request to stop. Collecting payments from unsuspecting customers seems to be their business model. I found Sittercity.com more useful and less deceitful.
