I have been trying to find a job on care.com since December and on their web page are tons of families looking for the right person. Not one phone call or email from anyone but I was told to upgrade to premium which sound fishy why should I have to pay to get a job. So the more I look to this company I find out more information like care.com had fake families on their web page. The next thing I found out if you upgrade to premium they automatically take out of your account funds with out your knowledge. The 3rd I found out care.com is not the same company as it used to be years ago. Who ever is in charge of this company is a liar. And when you email the company they don’t give you a straight answer. I would really like to get the government involved to look into this company the only problem is they know the law better then me . I am sure theY figure out a way that this is legal. Tons of complaints on BBB.

This company does not practice good standards. I believed I was buying a 1-month subscription, as described. They don’t make it clear that when you pay, you’re agreeing to automatic renewal each month. And even When I discovered within a day of being charged incorrectly for another month, they would not refund my money. Any reputable business would refund a mistaken charge the day after it’s been made. Stay away from this site. Total scam!!

My intial enthusiasm about searching for care giving jobs on Care.Com dwindled when I discovered how difficult it was for emploers to post recommendations. Sometimes it works but most of the time it does not. Potential clients are asking way under the going wage for skilled workers... in otherwords it's a rip off. It also made no difference upgrading to the $20 per month rate. Good luck reaching customer service. It's hardly an easy access site.

Care.com's membership and billing policies are designed to take advantage of busy parents. First, if you sign up, they then automatically renew every month and there is no option when you join NOT to have it auto-renew. Second, they DO NOT send electronic receipts after charging you each month. If you're like me, you typically only need the service for a month until you find a new care provider but if you, like me, are a busy parent and maybe forget you subscribed, they will not refund your money (except for the immediate past month), even if you clearly have not used your account for some time. IMO, it is a despicable policy not to send electronic receipts monthly b/c they are clearly counting on busy parents to slip up and forget about canceling the auto-renewal, but they have no interest in providing refunds or in changing this policy. Personally, they've lost my trust and I will not be looking to them anymore to provide something as important as quality childcare.

SCAM ALERT!!! They scam you into upgrading to premium just to be able to view the messages in your inbox...so as you're browsing supposed job listings and then they make it seem like you receive a couple of messages... so desperate to find a job you try out premium..and get to see your messages...and they turm out to be BS....one from an obvious fake client...and the other from care.com about your account...BS BS BS....SCAMMERS!!! SO MISLEADING...TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PPL TRYING TO FIND EMPLOYMENT...

SCAM and a FAKE - care,com is really NOT CARE Takes yiur money and nothing comes out of it. Good luck trying to get a refund. How the DA's office haven't brought charges, amazes me. BEWARE......FOREWARNED>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>..

Scam, scam, scam. Go elsewhere. They denied my post over and over for no reason they could explain (to force me to pay for another month). I finally got them to post my job after saying point-blank: "this seems like a scam," but then their site requires you to to pay for *every* interaction on the site! This company has no integrity, professionalism, or reliability. Go elsewhere.

They fraudulently charged my credit card for an account I never authorized to upgrade. Their billing department “doesn’t take calls,” and Kari Seletz, a supervisor, was specifically rude & dismissing, representing the horribly unethical company. The “services” this company offers are a shell for fraud happening behind the scenes.
