Care.com cancelled and kept the money. I gave a negative review on a caregiver and they immediately cancelled me after 2 weeks. I had paid for a 3 month subscription. You have to “behave” with your reviews or you lose your money. It appears honesty will get you cancelled.

Absolutely appalled! I joined and went to premium to be able to message parents as a nanny. Never had a single reply. So made no money as received no work. Then they charged me $67 and refuse to refund me! Do not recommend

My 18 year old daughter created an account on Care.com in order to find some babysitting work. she did nor enter any bank details. She received a whatsapp call from someone looking for a babysitter but thet insisted on a background check.(a cost of £7 which they would reimburse) My daugheter told them she had a current DBS, but that was not good enough. A link was sent for her to complete, but once they started asking for her indepth bank details she ended the call - but had already given her account number. Needless to say her account had £29 taken out of it by Care.com. She has contacted her bank but theyre not being very helpful as they said she signed up with them. She explained she A) never gave Care.com authority to set up a subscription B) didnt put any bank details on her application. It was the person who whatsapped her as a potential employer who took the bank details, subsequently they must have been part of Care,com. I would like to give them a - star rating.

It seems that care.com is in business simply to cheat people.The company my daughter works for contracts with care.com to provide a service to their employees when they start work. They reimburse for child care for a set number of days. This is done through care.com. When we tried to upload the information to get the reimbursement the care.com website refused to accept any info for over 2 weeks. We finally got the info entered and it took them 2 months to send a check. When the check came it was drawn from bank of america. My daughter drove over an hour and stood in line with a baby for over an hour just to get into the bank. The bank said thair reader could not read the check and refused to cash the check drawn from their bank!! She deposited the check in her dads bank account ( she has no physical bank only online banking). His bank has not only refused to clear the check but now says that he is overdrawn by $1800, the amount of the check!! we received not one cent from this check but now must fight with the bank to set the account right as well as care.com over a bad check!! Care.com is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They seem to be set up to systematically steal from people. I do not understand how they are still in business and why law enforcement has not investigated them for fraudulent business practices. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CARE.COM THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU AND CHEAT YOU OUT OF THE MONEY THEY RIGHTFULLY OWE YOU.

I have been a member with care.com for 5 years and they’re THE WORST. They literally tell you your email or SS# is invalid unless you’re willing to pay. I literally had to pay to get back in, and then they kicked me out and when I tried to get back in it said: “your email is not associated with care.com” over and over-except it was 15 minutes before that when they were trying to get money out of me. Literally 0 stars. Never use them it’s a waste of time and they just want your money. Also they’ve had affiliations with people going on posing as parents and hiring caretakers and they’re sex traffickers.

I was a member with care.com since 2012 in which I had nothing but good experiences and would have given 5 starts. However, in May during COVID I was laid off at my full time job and decided to find a family to babysit for on care.com. I found a part time 20 hour a week job and the family was horrible! I stuck it out for 3 weeks but then finally quit because the mother was very condescending and rude and I don't believe in working in negative environments where I am unhappy. (Her last nanny quit on them too) Fast forward to two months later the mom finally leaves me a bad review but she lied in the review and then reported my reply as harrassment and got my profile deleted. Care.com said they won't reactivate it because of it. I even have a screenshot of my reply which isnt harrasment or unkind at all! I give care.com ZERO stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent $150 bucks to access the site for 1 year. I go to sign in a few months into the year and I cant even log in to change my password unless I pay another $15 back ground check fee. I'm not even a sitter, just trying to find one. I cant get a hold of anyone my phone or email or chat. I cant even use my $150 account now. Seriously pissed.

This company simply delete my profile after I try to remove a guy that was haressing me asking for cleaning his apartment during the night
