I signed up for a trial and ONE month only. They have charged my credit card for ONE YEAR. I know what you may be thinking, my bad for not looking at my statement, and I agree, however I have help with it and she thought it was valid. We only noticed when wrapping up and reconciling the year. So naturally I reached out, and the response I got was they make their purchase agreement clear, so basically - sorry not sorry. And for the record, they don't make their agreement clear. I haven't received one receipt nor email regarding this automatic withdraw every month. There was even a price increase and I never received notification about it. I am fortunate this doesn't affect my family during this pandemic but thinking about the many it might, this is so unacceptable. This is not a company of integrity whatsoever. Not to mention the people we interviewed were not the quality they promise. I wouldn't recommend trying this for even a day. I would NOT recommend using care.com

The most useless thing ever. You have to pay but you nevere ever receive any response. Utter loss of time and money Avoid like the plague

Care.com deletes all bad reviews from the facilities they represent or market. We had a horrible experience with Heartis Glendale WI and they deleted a truthful and accurate review. Care.com can not be trusted to find a home for your loved one.

I subscribed (annual), posted an ad and had replies but did not use the service. I was unaware of their auto renewal of my annual billing. No notices of upcoming renewal were given. I have paid almost $500 for a service I never used, with no recourse. If you want to use this service, start monthly and make a note of the dates you will be charged.

They're awful!!! Cannot get logged into my account because they want me to pay for a background check, I want to close my account because I just don't like their system even tho I signed up years ago. I called and got HUNG UP ON by one of their employees when I asked for help and explained I sent FOUR emails already. This is a Scam...I swear. I only got a couple jobs from there the past 6 years, and the families and I had to set up things outside the app because the app is just awful to use.

I was a victim of Fraud in care.com,the employeer said she lives nearby and wants me to do a background check,and scam me 2,296 pounds,I called care.com and they said only deal within which i did,and as well when i dont pay there is lots of job offer near me,so when i was tempted to pay there is non at all! I only wanted to find a decent work but it turns out i was victimised by being fraud,till now of all the applications i sent non hire me which is impossible!!

I used there services and only selected one month for membership which is around 50 dollars. I found a nanny within a week and was done. I didnt use it anymore. About 2 months later, I saw they charged me another month and when i called they said I was supposed to login after hiring someone to downgrade because they 'automatically' renew regardless of how many months you request when signing up. They do not give refunds even though clearly I didn't even touch my account for the past 7 weeks. It's really disappointing that they do this - especially at a time when many people are struggling to make ends meet. As you can see from the other comments here. I recommend you use their competitors. This is very sneaky.

Keep in mind, this was most likely before this creature of a company turned into everyone's worst nightmare. I return to my education, completed my masters degree and at this point Care.com was an entirely different beast. Many, many repetitively fake and obviously dangerous postings. I was so disgusting and disappointed by their refusal to take active measures to remove the numerous fake postings and I guess became a thorn in their side and was removed without a reasons, which was fine with me. From another end user subscription, I began to realize what they were doing, Care.com made those fake postings as both provider and care seeker. They constructed this to keep charging for subscriptions with no results for anyone. So.... you are believing that you found a legitimate contractor, who isn't responding to your messages and you are also wondering why this posting for help wanted isn't responding to your messages. What you will get are guaranteed charges to your account as job seeker and job poster. That is the hustle. Post fake jobs that have the exact wording, from almost all 50 states all the while keep billing on bother ends. Please... their lack of responsibility to legitimate background checks gives access to dangerous people who create profiles, Care.com says is basically at your OWN RISK. They are nuts and diabolical. I don't remember how I found them years ago, Carelinx is NOT an agency, with huge fees, its a very safe, stable and extremely responsible platform. Care.com can't and WILL NEVER come close to them. Carelinx provides a wonderful opportunity for families to find stable, reliable caregivers with verified background checks $20. They provide an opportunity to create a care plan with the provider, allow you to choose to either pay off the book or on the books within the app and provides accounting for taxes to make the process easy. I have had the opportunity to acquire affordable health and dental, and I have completed almost every updated online courses they offer to keep my skills up to be the very best in my care. Due to the complexity of creating a profile, MUST HAVE BACKGROUND CHECK AND PASSING, you must pass a multitude of courses prior to having the ability to search for openings, there is no monthly subscriptions. They make their money mainly from those who chose the route of paying taxes and a fee is charged weekly prior to your pay, which is very fair. Basically, its not a site for lazy folks to put in the time, and would not allow dangerous folks to have any access. Good luck everyone, and be determined to get your money back. This rats nest of an agency, Care.com knows how to play the system, we have to learn to play the game too. Care.com is not untouchable. p.s. Upon researching Care.com there have been articles about horrid experiences, even deaths, from folks who utilized this crazy site and from what I can speculate, its not owned by the same entity and who knows may not even be in the US.
