This site is predatory in how it will not issue refunds for auto-renewed accounts. Despite its claims to make all disclaimers, Care.com clearly does not care about keeping happy customers, only the errant $39 they make off of busy moms who may have forgotten to cancel the auto-renew. If the quality of the applicants I got were good, I wouldnt complain. I stopped looking for a sitter after a week because it seems like the site doesnt care about the quality of its sitters. I will NEVER use this site again. Please DO NOT rely on this site as it is just like the bad job search sites simply in business because of the sheer number of applicants rather than quality.

Extremely disappointed, despite having being a registered Carer for over 10 years and having all my certificates, I have yet to receive a job through this company. I would not recommend this company to anyone if you are genuine about finding good care for your children. As a test, I sent out 8 queries to parents on the same day, and did not receive even one response. This tells me (??) that they have blocked my profile from their website despite my account remaining active until June 2021.

Horrible company! They steal money from you and keep charging you even when you are trying to unsubscribe!! Watch out, I would say don't even think about becoming a member!

Not an ethical company! Took my credit card info, charged my account even after cancellation, refused to provide refund, and would not remove my credit card info from my profile. Had to close account in order to prevent any additional inappropriate charges. Now will need to challenge the charge with my credit card company!!

I only wanted a month subscription. But continued to be charged for multiple months $39. When I called they said I could not be refunded and that with the premium it rolls over every month whether you want it or not! Wont be using ever again.

I have been a member of care.com for many years. Frankly, I have never found anything on their site, that has ever worked out. Lots of times, certain hours were posted, that families needed, and, when I messaged them with interest, they wanted something different than what was listed. Very misleading. Now, after a long time away from the site, and a need to find another client, or clients, I can't even look for anything on the site, unless I pay the required $18.99 fee. I have been a CNA and Home Healthcare provider for over sixteen years, have worked in the Public School System as a Special Education Aide, and am a part of another caregiver list, that requires we pay a $10.00 fee every two years for a background check. I do pay their fee, because I have found several jobs through that list. I have had so many background checks done, that, I feel, if care.com hasn't ever had anything that worked out, WHY would I pay $18.99 for their service? BEWARE.......

I was extremely disappointed in their tactics to keep people paying for their services. I tried to cancel my services, but there was no way to specifically cancel the service - only downgrade my account. I downgraded to basic, which looks to be their "free account." This, however, is not the case, and I was charged another monthly fee. I caught it the day after and asked for my money back as I do not plan to use their services going forward and I made every attempt to cancel. They refused and so here I am, shaking my head at working with such a shady company.
