THIS IS A SCAM SITE. The profiles here are literally fake with no response. They charge the credit cards without prior notification. Do not enroll in this website.

i felt tricked into paying for premium - it's a con. i was led to believe i had actual replies, but i hadn't. 2 weeks later still not heard from anyone. The whole thing is probably full of people who were conned into signing up.

I have to say I agree with most of the bad reviews of care.com given on this site. The site makes it very difficult to find the cancel subscription service. They do not list their phone number anywhere on the site. They put it in their billing line on your credit card statement. Stupid place. They also have a customer service staff who refuse to process a refund and lead you toward a chat feature that is equally difficult to find. I have now been waiting on that chat feature for a manager to answer for an hour and a half. I can understand being understaffed for customer service but the design choices on the site are clearly intended to stop people from canceling the service. Also, the basic model of the site doesn't work unless you have a large full time job to offer to someone. Small jobs for a few hours a day are near impossible to find someone to fill. I would try to find another way to find a care giver if I had it to do all over again.

Care.com only gives a hoot about how much money they can charge you monthly, and hope you don't catch them, as You are automatically signed up to the default premium subscription of $41. per month. They do not give refunds under any circumstances, and make it impossible to call and contact them, and even hide how to cancel your subscription. It is disgraceful!!!

The response I received from care.com was a generated response with no emotions or information than what was clearly listed on the site. I can read the website. Care.com also gave me nothing that Facebook can give me. I found my sitter on Facebook not even care.com. And $40 a month recurring monthly is just absolutely ridiculous. What a huge HUGE waste of money. Maybe if the customer service members were reachable and cared at all, it would be worth something, but there is no support from customer service at all. I requested a refund the day I was charged and I did not use the services at all! All care.com cares about is taking advantage of parents in need or care. All they care about money, that’s it!

I am infuriated!!! Once one subscribes, they make it near impossible to cancel. I forgot my password but the reset they send consistently does not load "error". There is no email, no phone, no way to get support. I would NEVER subscribe again!

Signed up for basic membership (free) which allows you to post your profile, see job postings and “send your profile” to potential employers however you cannot message families without signing up for a monthly membership which automatically renews (horrible reviews on trying to cancel once signed up for paying membership). Assuming families cannot message you either without paying. Heard back from zero families which is very unusual for a platform like this. Similar sites - canadiannanny.com or nannyservices.com I’ve used several times before and can connect with families easily for free. This site is a waste of time. Don’t bother and definitely don’t pay for their services.

The membership is worthless and way too expensive for what you get. Most of the profiles are not updated to show working or they are supposed to be looking for part-time but really they are looking for FT work. Many don't get back with you and many want more then the position should pay. I could hire a reliable caregiver from a company and pay less then many of them charge on this site...which is what I'm going to do after my experience on this site. You can't get in touch with the company if you have a problem. I'm an RN and know about caregivers so this site is a joke. I would not recommend this company!!
