Care.comReviews of care.com

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. They charged me $62.85 per quarter. I thought I was paying for a membership for a year. I have paid 3 quarters before I caught it. My fault, but I want others to know about this slimy business. They are deceptive from the start. I tried getting at least the last quarter fee back and was told NO REFUNDS! Pathetic buiness model. Too bad, it's a great concept so I thought. I will never use them again.

I am another who has been stung by this shoddy company. Absolutely terrible subscription model that you can sign up to in error. I went 2 months before noticing they were relieving me of £30 a month for doing diddly squat and not helping me find the care I was looking for. When I complained they took over a week to reply with the longest email I have ever received from a company. Suggesting to me that they get an awful lot of these complaints and their main money earner is scamming people out of their hard earned cash. The candidates were scarce for my area and the messages I received didn’t actually seem to be from the candidates themselves but from Care.com suggesting these people to me who then ignored my messages. Avoid this website.

I’ve been paying for the use of this site for a year & a half. Meeting families hasn’t been an issue (plenty of them ghost you after an initial phone conversation or interview, though, which is likely a sad statement about society in general). The problem lies in Care.com’s customer service. It is abysmal to non-existent. In fact, I’d go so far as to say abusive. I’ve been trying to email and chat in their chat room for over a week regarding why they are blocking some PAYING MEMBERS from accessing the Community board where nannies can support one another. They tell me I’m next in line to speak to an agent, then they’re “connecting me to an agent”, then BAM! I’m 7th in line - again. I’m canceling my PREMIUM membership. Good riddance, Care.com!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Someone else stated that this app is no better than a newpaper ad and truer words have never been spoken. They give you no information unless you pay them $155 up front for an entire year!!!! Then you get extorted and give them money, use the app for less than one week and they say sorry, NO REFUNDS!!!!! Do not be fooled or desperate enough to give them your hard earned money. This is nothing but a legal rip off and you cannot even find a telephone number for them. If they were a legitimate company, you would be able to locate a number for them.

I have been using care.com for awhile now. I’m recently in search for a new job as my family is moving and they have updated the layout to where it looks like everyone who has reviewed me wouldn’t rehire me. I have tried contacting care.com and haven’t received anything. I never right reviews so that shows how livid I am. They literally send you to an automated person who hangs up on you and are no help. It’s just a typical business only caring to make money and I’m fed up with it.

Absolutely unusable website and app. Try it for yourself. Go post an ad (either from mobile or from the web version) and see how painful it is just to enter data. Each field has ridiculous mysterious rules that you have to figure out through trial end error. 100% unusable.

Pathetic. Typical subscription model where you sign up and they make it difficult to canc a recurring charge. I checked on day 1 to see after paying for 1 month, and they signed up as ongoing. Sent 2 messages to cancel the ongoing, no response. Tried to remove payment details, unable to. Followed their FAQ on unsubscribing and closing account, it's not up to date and doesn't work. So at this point I have put a hold on my credit card.
