Terrible customer service, I used one time last month to try and find care. I canceled my account or so I thought I did, it renewed and I contacted customer service immediately to let them know I did not want to renew nor do I need the service at the moment and instead of refunding bc I did not use the service the customer care wanted to make a point that they will NEVER refund a customer. BUYER BEWARE, they are more interested in keeping a one time payment then keeping lifelong customers. Businesses with models like this do not care. The amount isn’t the problem it’s the fact they’d rather take a fee and lose a customer.

How do you expect a possible customer to pay upfront £29 for messages you cant see if they are actually relevant or not. I feel sorry for the applicants looking for work and sending messages which will not be even considered. Completely wrong format both for job posters and workers.

I joined CARE when looking for a house cleaner, selecting the individual monthly fee as I did not expect to use it again. I did have a group of applicants, none of which were worth trying. I found a house cleaner through the Next Door Neighbor app. I did fail to cancel my monthly membership with CARE so attempted to reach Customer Service to request a refund on the extra month ... impossible. Attempting several phone calls and 3 seperate emails, I was never able to get a response. Just trying to get contact info proved quite difficult. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I joined before reading reviews. Mistake. This is a completely useless site with a promise of some free service, but in reality you MUST PAY to be able to contact candidates or be able to have any sort of communication with them. I feel it is important for this company to be more transparent, and to ask a joining fee right from the outset, as there is actually ZERO value in signing up otherwise. ZERO value, I kid you not! Essentially one is just sharing personal information with a company who will then send email after email about Polly and Sally and Molly who lives in your area and who is interested in the job. And that is where the service ends. Unless you pay. One can only assume that many applicants (Polly,Molly and Sally) have been equally tricked in setting up an account, but may have chosen not to proceed with payment as it is a pretty substantial sum i.m.o. (Certainly for someone who is unemployed!) To me this feels like exploitation. My advice is to stay well clear of this company. It is not worth the frustration.

I am writing to support previous reviewers and highlight that in my experience Care.com is a manipulative and sophisticated scam. Please do not pay them for any service as your money will be taken from you for no return. I have to give one star in order for this review to be published

This site is a complete rip off. I sent many a message to those who are on their site listed as available caregivers and NONE responded. The only one that did was to drive traffic and business to her own website/company so she wasn't an actual caregiver. I told care.com and they didn't respond or acknowledge it. I also posted an ad and not ONE response or application. I recruit people for a living so I clearly understand how to do this. They allow people to be on their site that aren't active, aren't looking for work. It's a scam. There is NO support and nope, no refunds no matter what. Well that's some crap that I don't need. I do NOT recommend them to anyone. Stay clear!!!!!

If I could give a zero, I would! I subscribed two weeks ago, they took my money right away, yet I still can't use my account because of a pending background check. Background checks don't take that long!

This company continued to take money off me after my first months trial. I did not realise I was still paying money to them and they did not allert me. When I asked for a refund- no refunds given. This was even though they could see I had not accessed the site for months. They try to lull you back with adverts, saying someone is interested in your service. To see the message you must sighn up and pay again. Generally the member is not specifically interested in your profile, the company just want you to sign up and take your money again. LIke many on this site, I have suspicion some of the messages are bogus.
