Annoyed and dissatisfied
I paid for premium but every time I try and add child care to my specialties it never lets me get past my bio even though I am well above 100 characters. And child care is what I bought this website for.

I signed up after seeing an ad that advertised I could try Care.com for free. The only free feature is really the signup process and posting your first request on the app. Totally useless, as to reply to anyone applying to your job or even SEE what they wrote to you, you need to go premium. The one-month price is £29!! Not worth it.

This website is a complete scam. I have reported to the ACCC. Misleading and distrustful- vulnerable people searching for work, and those who are desperate to find care arrangements. After stupidly paying the $45 membership fee, contacting 17 local, promising profiles with great blurbs- not one single ‘profile’ replied. I have discovered that the website allows people to create a great profile, share a lovely photo, and then if they choose not to pay- the profile sits there, looks and acts active, yet these people aren’t getting messages or able to reply. But you don’t know that, so you wait in hope that one of the 17 people will respond. After realising it’s a scam I tried to downgrade my membership. Absolutely impossible. There was no link on the website, in settings, nothing! So I emailed them three times to unsubscribe- no response. Today I checked and they have added a downgrade membership option on the settings, brand new. It looks like I have successfully cancelled my monthly $45 fee- but I’m not feeling confident that they won’t charge me next month. Absolute rogues, a disgraceful company who should be shut down immediately. Please please don’t waste your money like I did. And to the lovely 17 people I tried to contact, I’m just glad you aren’t paying this disgusting business, but I’m sad your photos and information is still there to mislead people, and that you are unable to delete it. Just wrong.

I signed up on care.com and filled out form. Only after endless questions I was presented with the price. It is really expensive. And there is no where to delete my profile.

I joined at the basic level in 2015. After 6 months I stopped my membership. Fast forward to 2021 when I receive a $50 charge on my credit card from Care.com. I go on the site and spend hours trying to find out how to contact someone. I get on chat and it says I am #13 in line, after 5 minutes, I am #14 in line. During the next 30 minutes I go back and forth between 14th in line to 11th in line and in between. I eventually find an email option. I email that they have made a mistake. 3 emails later they are refusing to refund the $50 and claiming I have been a premium member for 6 years. They claim they have emailed me before, but I have never received any emails. Reported to FTC and BBB and my credit card company.

Would give zero stars if that was an option! Paid in good faith to try to find a nanny - most of the people I wanted to speak to in person either didn’t reply, or didn’t attend interview the one person who did then changed her mind after I turned down another applicant from another site! Be warned you get put in auto renew and it’s a pain to cancel. So will end up paying for more then you use and as the operators of this site are greedy won’t refund you the money- I won’t mind if they had decent reliable applicant but they don’t and have the nerve to change more than the other sites - waste of time and money.

Care.com has a broken button when trying to submit cancellation of a paid subscription. This generally leads to customers forgetting to cancel by leaving the page, as they are unable to follow through with the cancellation on the spot. When contacting Care.com, I was told they have a strict, no-refund policy - despite the glitch. Literally one day too late in actually successfully cancelling my subscription, and I am told I have to eat the (overly expensive anyway) $40 monthly fee. This is suspicious, and predatory behavior on customers.
