Have to pay a min. of $39 a month service fee to be able to contact potential caregivers and then when finally get a response from a caregiver that they are not available. Their posts of introductions and availability are not current and therefore making it frustrating for me and causing me more time that I don't have. I only found one suitable caregiver after interviewing and doing searches of about 25 caregivers. Furthermore your "free" service just allows you to view caregivers, but does not give messages to them to contact you, if you want a message to be received you have to pay monthly service and if you don't pay you just keep getting unwanted teasers from other caregivers you are not interested in and says you have to upgrade your membership if you want to contact.

I don't think I will renew after the first 3 months are over. The site is just so user unfriendly.

We reached out to 12+ members on care.com that claim they respond within 1 or 2 days and only ONE person replied in 2 weeks. Even worse, We've seen some of the people online that we wrote messages and were simply ignored. The care.com community has gone downhill. Sad to see people want work but can not take the time to reply to a request.

The site navigation is poorly laid out. The filters for organizing your results are not adequate. For example, there is no filter for "organize by last time logged in" - which makes it extremely cumbersome to go through nanny's and see if they are actively on the site.

It's going ok haven't found anyone yet.

Signed up & tried to post something for a sitting job within 24 hours b/c I was really in a bind. Contacted 2 people, they didn't immediately respond, so put up a posting. Both people contacted back w/in 6 hours to say they weren't free, which was understandable as was last minute. Eventually got a backup plan set up through a friend and went to bed. Got my first response to a request for care at 6:30am after 11p. then got flooded with responses the next day -- most of which came well after the care requested time, showing people didn't bother to read the posting at all. This was a total waste of time and money.

Trying to find a specific person whom i know for a fact is part of CARE.COM was a MAJOR HASSLE. There needs to be a search option where you can type in a first name & just see all of those. For instance: i want to find the caregiver whose first name is Bekka.

So far all I have received was a bunch of emails from people I may or may not be intersted in so that I reach my "limit" so it is a total scam to make you sign up for the more expensive monthly fee. When I contacted one one the girls I found and liked on my own (which is how I wanted to do this and was pretty sure how I signed up to do it. I didn't post a job, that I know of unless it was in the initial sign-up) she was already booked up for the summer, and she didn't know why she was still listed on the page. I did look through the e-mails that I received and contacted 2 of them, but 1 was not interested in the job and the other has not responded. Suffice it to say I am not happy and will be canceling my account and contacting another service. I signed up because a few of my friends on Facebook had "liked" this company, I will not be doing so.
