I have no issues with care.com itself. Yes you have to pay for it to be able to connect with caregivers, but the problem is literally every caregiver on there will either not respond to you, or will go through the whole process and then back out at the last minute leaving you stranded with no one. I have subscribed several times now(1 month at a time several different times) to find caregivers, and yet I still do not have a babysitter. This site needs to do a better job of allowing caregivers to make profiles for those who actually want to work, not waste peoples time. I’m done with care.com as it is a waste of time and money.

I have always had an acct with care.com without an issue. I haven't used it in awhile because I was taking care of my dad with cancer the past few years. I go back on to my acct and order a certified badge check and to change my personal information since I moved. I emailed them because it wouldn't allow me too. Asking them to assist me,but instead I get an email stating they closed my account and they didn't haft to give me a reason. After taking my money the same day I'd say I deserve a reason. I had the account for years and have been a senior care provider for 22 years with no criminal background. This is very upsetting to me. I don't recommend them now as the company apparently went down hill and taking people's money and then closes it. So sad.

Terrible customer service - no reply to emails - when sign up for 1 month they then set that price as an ongoing cost monthly and charge monthly even though you do not ask for this - would totally not recommend - if i could give 0 stars i would

I had tried care.com a few years ago for a caregiver and I don't remember having any issues. Now I need a housekeeper so I decided to try it again. I was really surprise at the price $38.95 for a month, I was desperate to find someone so I paid it, little did I know there was a no refund policy and no customer service or support. From day one, the site was not working right, every time I tried to post a listing for housekeeper I would get an error saying it couldn't post and to try again later, but then when I closed the error page it would go back to the beginning of the site, then when I checked my job posting it was posted. Now if I tried to edit anything on my listing sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. After about a week I finally got someone responding to my listing, I contacted her and interviewed her over the phone, she had 5 years experience and she was wanting $25 a hour listed on her resume. But when I asked her what experience she had, she said "well I've been doing chores for my parents since I was 15 years old." and she had no references. I told her I was willing to pay $10 a hour based on her lack of experience, she agree. I said pick which day you want to work, she said I'll call you back in a couple of days and tell you what day I'll come, I said ok. Couple of days go by, she never calls me back, so I texted her and she text me back saying "I'm sorry but I accepted a nanny position." I though ok not very professional or responsible glad she isn't going to work for me. Next I reported her to care.com for misrepresentation, personally I feel she misrepresented herself by lying about her experience, and lying about what type of job she was looking for, because as soon as she text me saying she got a nanny job she changed her profile to looking for a nanny position, but she told me that she accept a nanny position, then the next day she changed her profile back to housekeeper. Care.com said they would investigate, but I never got any reply back, and my review for her never showed up on the site! I'm guessing it's because she blocked me? I tried several times to find a contact # for care.com to report these issues with their site not working half the time, but there is no contact # or email or nothing. Care.com left me with such bad feelings that I cancelled my membership. Then I tried to delete my credit card I got a pop up message saying I couldn't delete it because my membership is still active? I find it funny that now that I cancelled my membership their site it kept bringing me care.com UK site, almost like they are trying to stop you from deleting your account and/or credit card off their site! I'm sorry I didn't check the reviews first, I just assume since I didn't have any issues last time it was still a good site. My only option now was to call my bank, cancel my credit/debit card and ask them for a chargeback, there is no way I'm paying for something that doesn't work!

If I could give care.com zero stars I would. I posted a job for someone to look after our youngest and immediately had emails from the site telling me there were multiple good matches they had emailed for me. In order to read their responses I would have to upgrade. I did for £35. My address seemed not to go through their quality checks and was rejected. I changed it multiple times and called their helpline AND emailed customer services multiple times over 2 weeks. They never responded to any communication, and did not approve my account. They did however take my money. Terrible site Never got access to any carers. Found one really easily and for less money one mindme. Avoid this site!!

Hard to use! And you have to spend money before you can even start confirm that there’s someone available for the job!

One of the people that they cleared for their site stole money from me and Care.com, despite a large annual fee is doing NOTHING to help resolve this situation, DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!! Please, please please look elsewhere they are nothing but scammers taking our money and not doing anything real to help their customers. I would be batter off checking with the local Craig’s List website, at least that’s free!!!
