They deleted my account (employer account) 1 day I paid for 3 months membership after I tried to contact candidate by sharing phone numbers for candidate interview. No warning. How do you vet candidates if you can’t interview them directly?

Care.com automatically renewed my yearly plan without any warning. I had not had any activity the whole year. When one day after renewal, I asked for a refund, they said that no, I would have to pay for the whole year and would not be given any sort of proration or even a partial refund. That is so infuriating! If you want to have an auto renewal policy, you should take care to ensure that people have the opportunity to adjust their subscription before they are charged more than $100 for an annual plan!

I paid a significant annual fee to find and contact qualified child care. The platform however, now (a change) POSTS PUBLICLY offers that we make to providers we specifically select —no option to opt out. Their customer support confirmed this is the only way to contact a preferred provider. Just speculating, it widens their net to drive revenue at the expense of customers’ ability to target specific choices. Trying SitterCity now.

I can never get through to the Caregiver. I have not hired a caregiver as of yet so far it’s not been a very good experience.

Listed a tutoring position / homeschool that we were willing to pay up to $50 an hour. So we got a few responses and picked a local canidate whom had rates starting at $25 an hour. With reoccurring rates of $25-$50 an hour. We spoke on the phone then sat down for an in person interview we loved her and wanted her to start next week.. So she said she would send her agreement out the following day and she did. When we reviewed the agreement the rates were $100 an hour. Needless to say we can not continue with her as are range clearly listed in the job ad was $50 max. Very disappointed on all fronts so far as most applicants have starting hourly rates above what we offering. If you need more please don't apply.

They don't say upfront that you will have to pay. Eventually, after filling out all your information, they say you'll have to 'upgrade' to reply to anything. There is no easy way to cancel or close your account. It feels like a scam.
