Reported this fraud in Canada at Competition Bureau Canada government website, report fraud option. I sent literally 104 requests to caregivers listed on the website in my area and received only 3 responses saying those people were not available although everyone's profile shows 100% response rate. I cancelled my membership on Nov 1st and received the email confirmation of the cancellation and that my credit card would no longer be charged. It has been charged again today! Same as some of the previous reviewers reported. Pure scam. I was surprised the CEO Tim Allen has this practice in his company.

Care.com is a scam. I plugged in a coupon code to see if it still worked, and I was ?magically? signed up for the service even though I had never hit the 'join' button. Yeah. Totally my fault. I should have known when they insisted I enter my cc info *before* they would tell me if the coupon code was still good....that the site was a scam. Live and learn. Once they get ahold of your credit card, THEY WILL NEVER STOP CHARGING YOU. I had to close my account to get them to stop. They don't want to match you with workers, they want to get your debit card number. Clearly, I wish I had checked here first. I won't make that mistake again. On the other hand, there are NO google reviews listed when I looked up the company. That would have been a help. I have contacted Google to allow reviews on Care.com, and I recommend anyone who winds up here does the same.

Not a scam, just sucks Care.com is extremely unfair. Since I have not responded to a, “thank you”, from one family I ended up with an extremely low response rate. This looks bad! Also, Care is so expensive. It is unfair for anyone to pay to look for work. This website is completely absurd. I am a real person looking for real work, I respond immediately to messages. Care just wants to take my money, and it’s no help at all.

I wish if I can give negative review. These site will keep charging your credit card even after cancellation of membership. All care takers on their site are fake people and all of them have criminal background. We talked to one caretaker and later she was found a criminal. You will not able to complain to them. This website do not perform or give fake background chek of their people.

I needed transportation to a doctor's appointment. A caregiver responded to my post in her response she had her rate at $20.00 her max rate. When we talked, I told her the trip there and back to the doctor's office would be about 2 hours and another hour and half in the doctor's office. I told her I would pay her for a full day, 8 hours. I thought I was being very generous, she asked me if she could call me back, I said yes. When she called me back, she wanted more money. I was very upset; this is not helping a senior this is taking advantage of a senior. I contacted Care.com numerous times they DO NOT respond. If you post a negative review, it will not get posted. You will only see positive reviews and thumbs-up on their website. I had to finally file a complaint with PayPal. Care.com did finally respond, but not to what I was complaining about. They will not refund your money no matter what even if a caregiver miss treats you and you want to close your account. They don't care about helping seniors. Once they have your money, they don't care what happens to you, they're all about taking advantage of seniors. I do not recommend this place.

If I could give 0 stars I would. So sorry I didn’t look at trustpilot reviews before signing up. Luckily I realized it was auto renew and managed eventually to cancel. No real replies to ad. Ghosted by fake respondants when trying to organise to meet. Shocking they are allowed to operate. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Please get off their website, do not buy their membership Care.com is a scam. The candidates are fakes never answer any communications.

I have applied to multiple (senior care) jobs on care.com over the last 3 months after paying them for my background check/clearance and having good reviews added from my ex-coworkers. The website constantly tries to get me to pay to upgrade to be able to “see more jobs.” Mostly what I see are jobs that are past the start date. Of course when I apply I never hear back and I have my CNA with over 15 years experience. Complete waste of time!
