Just a scam really, can't get any support or help all behind crazy payment plans.

At 63-years old, Care.com is the worst website I have ever experienced. glitches, glitches, glitches and no response from help center. Care.com's website was user-friendly in past years and the 'Contact Us'/Help Center was functional in past years. WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED!!!

Never use this website... immoral business practices via a refund policy that refutes any and all requests. Even if you don't use their service. Care.com accused me of not canceling their "premium" subscription membership. After recognizing the bill on my monthly credit card, I reached out to get a refund. Although I cancelled the premium membership, they refuted that I finished the 6 step ridiculous process and pocketed my money for a service I did not used. I tried searching for a caregiver for 1 month and had no success. The caregivers on here, or the decent ones, want extensive work, mostly as nannies. After realizing that quickly and getting only 1 response to my profile and inquiry, I cancelled my membership, or so I thought. Turns out I was still getting billed and even though I did not log into the website for months nor use the messaging service, which is really what you are paying 40 bucks for, care.com didn't care. They will take your money no matter what. They see it as your responsibility, whether you use the product or not to ensure cancelation. Even in a hypothetical world where customers fail to complete the cancelation process, they don't CARE. See what I did there.... They put morals aside and take your money. They know you haven't used their service. But they will still take what you don't want to give them. Don't get caught in this trap, use another service. Because if you sign up for premium, you still won't get a sitter unless you want a full time nanny.

I've been on care. Com for over a year and I have never got any work. As a carer I have seen posts advertised then they disappear, return and disappear again. Last year I had someone contact me three times from fake profiles they had set up. I live in HuLL yet I ger notifications for Doncaster, York etc. I thought this site might help me get some additional hours on top of my current job but after reading the reviews I doubt it very much.

This company is a SCAM. My husband signed up last month to be a care giver. He has over 20 years of experience working with the elderly and disabled. In March 2022 he was hired by someone on the sight to take care of 2 people in one home and STILL HAS NOT BEEN PAID as of April 1, 2022. Yet care.com has taken another monthly fee out. We have searched everywhere for a number to speak with someone about this matter and haven't gotten one response. We have emailed them SEVERAL times about this matter and not one response. THAT ISN'T OK. He provided a service to not just 1 client but 2 and should be paid accordingly. If you are reading this and thinking of becoming a caregiver my advice is to choose another company. Unless you like working for free!!!!!!

Potential sitter flaked and ghosted me at the last moment at a time when I was desperately needing help and then turned around and reported me to care.com for having my first name and last name in the wrong order. It was so highly critical to care.com that they wrote me a love letter to fix it or be removed from the site. Enjoy~

I was looking for a dog walker in my area, and came upon care.com. It was very friendly, walked me through the process of setting up a listing for what I wanted, showed me potential dog walkers in my area. Was told with the limited (free) membership I could only post a listing and see who applied. But that seemed like all I needed. Someone replied to my listing, and I logged in to care.com to see who. This is when I discovered that with a limited membership, you can only literally see who applied. You cannot read their application, nor can you reply to them. To read this one application, I'd have to pony up $38.95 for a monthly membership. It goes against my nature to NOT reply, so I'm caught between "it's ridiculous to spend almost $40 to reply to a single email" and "I can't possibly just leave this person hanging there." VERY misleading.
