Thank you for your feedback. We are a paid subscription service and not a free service. I'm sorry if you thought otherwise and therefore felt mislead. That was never our intention. Many sites like ours charge a fee in order to be able to offer you the features our site offers. Otherwise we'd just be like any other free classified site with very little to offer. Hi Brian, If your account was closed, it most likely means you do not meet our eligibility guidelines. If you paid for a subscription and were closed immediately after, the system most likely issued you a refund, however it does sometimes take up to a week to process through your bank. Hi Cari, Thank you for your feedback. Safety is our top priority at Care.com. Care.com conducts enhanced screening on all caregivers, which includes a background check called CareCheck. All caregivers are required to complete CareCheck to join our platform. We collect your legal name, permanent address, birth date, and Social Security Number so that our background check vendor, Sterling Talent Solutions, can run your CareCheck.  A CareCheck includes:      Social Security Number trace      National Sex Offender Public Website search      Multi-jurisdictional criminal database search      Federal and county criminal records search  When your CareCheck is complete, your profile will display a CareCheck badge with the date that the last CareCheck was run. A CareCheck will be required to rerun annually for caregivers who remain active on the Care.com platform.
