I signed up with Care to find someone to help complete housework. I found many people and sent several emails out but only heard back from one person out of 12. I called a couple of the companies listed and even requested my information to go to similar companies and received no contacts back. I emailed for a background check to be completed for the one person that did email me back but was never informed that it was approved or that it was completed. I went back on today to find out what is going on and had to re-request the same information because it expired. This website seems good in theory but practicality seems to be lacking in making connections. I am highly disappointed in this website and disappointed that I spent money on this site and background check service.

Complete waste. Didn't find a single babysitter and the website is awful to navigate. You should be able to narrow down your search by availability. Spent too many hours searching for nothing.

This membership has been a waste of time and money. Potential applicants don't provide the requested references. Applicants do not respond to follow-up emails.

My biggest problem with Care.com is that it is absolutely flooded with "caretakers" who are very young with zero experience, but at the same time claim to have lots of experience. An example would be a girl who claims to have "10 years experience" when I would did a little deeper I would see that she is just 18 and she is counting as the time she had "looking after" her brothers and sisters or nieces and nephews as "experience." My time spent culling through the hundreds of caretakers was mostly spent trying to debunk everybody's faux experience listings. This made it really hard to hire somebody. Care.com has zero accountability for its listers. Anybody can join and post how they have experience and fluff themselves up when in reality it seems like 80% of the people I would cull through are actually fit for the work they are asking for. This is aggravating because I paid good money because Care.com advertises the hundreds of "professionals" and "well Qualified" caretakers at the click of a mouse. I am discontinuing my account after this month, I paid good money but I did not find anybody to help in my situation. Just tons of young inexperienced people who would fluff themselves or would not keep appointments or follow up. My advice to Care.com would be to make the process a little more extensive for people who want to list their services on the site. Make them accountable for their "experience." Also follow up with people who are inactive on the site. I got countless replies from people who are "listed as available" but told me they are currently working, out of state, going to school, booked, etc. Overall a frustrating experience for a paying costumer.

I've been on care.com for about 6 months and I've gone through 7 nannies. All but one has worked out but she went on to further her career so finding someone else has been a constant inconvenience. Some have not showed up to interview, just stopped showing up and lied on and during their interviews. I would at least ask that you truly review their profiles to make sure at least some information is true. I do not recommend care.com to anyone and would rather tell them to ask a friend because they would be more reliable than anyone on here. I live in a military town where there's a lot of people looking for child care so to not have something so assuring as care.com to help after all these so called great reviews is a let down.

So many scam artists have my phone number now. I have to pay for every text I get, so it's costing me money to be harassed! Jobs are posted after they have already begun. I complained, but was told that my membership doesn't guarantee me jobs! Not the issue! Not what I said at all.

I have not found Care.com to be helpful with finding Caregiving position other sites offer more jobs It seems just show same jobs :( became premium member but found no benefit for membership .. Couldn't see if families even received my correspondence or who reviewed my prolile like other sites So see no reason to be premium member some I am cancelling my subscription but remaining as free I want a job and haven't had good results on Care.com currently
