Frustrating experience.... Lots of scams to sort through.
On occasion I have gotten a referral from care.com. Many people using the site are looking to employ people for unreasonably low fees. The number of people that appear to be perpetrating scams is unsettling. I received many texts stating they are looking for care for a friends pet, or they are moving to the area they cannot identify where they're moving or do not know the proximity to the area I live in.

Not trustworthy caregivers
I had good experiences with Care.com until recently. A caregiver I actually hired had given a false name to list on Care.com so when a background check was done nothing showed up. In fact, the real name was discovered and I found, just by googling her, she was charged with felonies, had IRS problems, and had many mental and emotional health issues. I am canceling my subscription with Care.com. I was frustrated to learn that Care.com does absolutely no checking on list members except to "verify their name" - clearly unacceptably in this instance.

Okay for a while
Helpful contacts. Don't waste your money on background check because few people will respond with a yes for that approval. I found on great fit for my son and I, so for that I am great fun for a life contact. Definitely needed to filter the responses. Over all it was a helpful service in the beginning then became a costly waste of money. uts over all to expensive in the long run and for that I would recommend others else where.

Did not find caregivers
Was unable to find part time nanny . Return on the investment is very poor. It is very time consuming and caregivers who appear available are not actually available.

Disappointed
It's discouraging when you take time to reach out for potential helpers and they go thru the process to schedule an interview and then they are a no show and or respond to any messages. I'm going to try one more time, but I not that hopeful of finding a responsibIe person. I have difficulty paying the 1 month fee for the service. $39 is kind of high to get nothing in return.

Pretty happy with my results.
I have been pretty happy with Care.com although I would suggest members that do not respond within a couple days should be warned and deactivate their account if they don't respond to multiple people.

Good Service- Not the Price
Hi, There are a lot of websites such as the care.com. There has to be a reason I need to come back to care and I do feel that the pricing for everything is overly. Lets say the monthly is for sure pricey also things like background checks etc. Thanks.
