I needed a cat sitter. 1. I dislike the fact that the need for a paid subscription is not made clear from the off. 2. I was inundated with offers. It is very difficult to find out how to close down an account. The only way to access the appropriate link was via the FAQs. The operation seems to me underhand and vaguely exploitative. I am not surprised at the considerable numbers of highly negative reviews.

Jeg synes først at konceptet lød godt. Jeg skal bruge hjælp nogle få timer om måneden og oprettede en profil og annonce. Derefter så jeg at det koster 280 kr. om måneden, hvilket er dyrt, så jeg valgte gratis begrænset medlemsskab. Nu har jeg set at jeg skal betale og tilmelde mig løbende abonnement for at svare på henvendelser. Hvorfor skulle man betale løbende abonnement for sådan en tjeneste? Hvis man fik en seriøs ansat har man vel vedkommende i årevis. Selvfølgelig er der omkostninger ved at drive sådan en tjeneste, men abonnement princippet giver ingen mening. Andre tjenester skaber kontakt mellem folk meget billigere.

Care.com is a giant waste of time and money. Granted, my needs were not the norm. I needed a full time sitter from 1-9:30. You would think paying $40 a month for the site would afford me a way to find someone. Trying to search through local people took so much time. Half of them hadn't been on the site in a long time. The majority of people want $15-20 an hour. Which is kind of outrageous. The site itself was difficult. I had specifics I needed but not enough character space to type it up. Maybe I'm salty because I never found anyone. But I've tried using this site different times over the past 7 years, each time with different needs and never found someone.

Care.com seeks to match care givers and baby sitters with those who need those who need those services. It lets job seekers to build their own profiles and list matching job. I t does not guarantee that matches will be found No site of this sort is perfect, but on the whole I can say that Care.com does a pretty good job.HOWEVER, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TALK TO A LIVE PERSON AT CC. IF YOU WANT EFFECTIVE HELP YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE IT BY ITS EMAIL SYSTEM WHICH, FRANKLY SUCKS!

I'm a fulltime nanny and have exclusively used care.com to secure positions for the past 5 years. In the beginning it was relatively simple to filter through families, apply and recieve responses. Fast forward a few years later and responses become more scarce; maybe 10 replies for every 100 applications submitted. It become apparent that posters had to pay to reply to caregivers and if you attempted to give any personal information, like a phone #, it would be blocked. Still, the site was usable and positions could be obtained after a few months. Now the final straw has come and they've implimented a "credit" system for caregivers, attempting to make us pay for each application and only showing one family at a time. Common sense would dictate that people who are in search of income are not able to pay just to apply, with absolutely no guarantee of even a message back. Due to this asinine change myself and fellow experienced caregivers will be boycotting Care completely and taking our services elsewhere. I sincerely hope that the company returns to its older format and stops these ridiculous tactics to drain every penny from its community.

Engang var jeg virkelig positiv omkring care.com, men efter at de har lavet både layout og faktisk også selve konceptet om, er jeg virkelig sur og skuffet. Nu skal man pludselig til at betale for at bruge siden og det virker ikke længere som om det overhoved er muligt at få et job gennem siden? I hvert fald ikke uden at betale... Desuden fungerer siden heller ikke optimalt når man prøver at opdatere sine oplysninger og søgefunktionen er virkelig også blevet ringe... Generelt bare virkelig skuffende og overvejer kraftigt bare og lukke min konto...

Waste of time - Overwhelming number of responses you have to sift through whereas at the end there are only a handful of reliable candidates that actually show up when you schedule an interview. When I emailed the customer care team with a question, I never heard back.

I was referred to care.com by a nanny friend and the family who she works for, as she is great and they found her using the website. I tried to contact a few members who I thought would fit my needs, but only one responded. It has been almost two months. In addition, when I signed up for the basic membership, it said I would have access to background checks-but then after I paid my $45, I had to pay an additional $75!!!! To get access to the full background info. Now they do give you a special deal if you "upgrade" at that moment-but since it wasn't clear until AFTER my upgrade option was gone, that I couldn't access anything but names and bio's, I didn't upgrade. Blatant misrepresentation of services. Having access and having to pay for each background check are completely different and not clearly stated. I'd love to find great sitters but word of mouth is way more effective-and at least I can find real people who are actively working.
