I subscribed to care.com for two years with a premium membership. We were looking for a baby sitter who could come once a week or every other week on whatever afternoon would work for her and/or a sitter who could come once or twice a month on the weekends so we could get house work done, run errands, go out, etc. We pay well and we're nice people, pretty flexible, clean, with reasonable expectations. It was a total waste of money. In over a year, we reached out to sitters who never got back to us, who did get back to us and then never showed up, and then just had times when no one was available. It was a huge waste of time and money. I cancelled our subscription, but I messed up my dates and was charged for a second full year of the service which was my error and I fully accept that. I would have been worth it if even a couple of options had worked for us, but like I said, we paid hundreds of dollars and received zero useful leads on sitters. I've had better luck asking around neighborhood Facebook pages, talking to other moms, etc.

You can’t get a message to anyone and they can’t get one to you. There are so many complaints of people wanting refunds. I smell a class action lawsuit

BEWARE: After finding a caregiver for my mom I tried to cancel the service. No phone number, no address, no customer chat service, heck no customer service link!! Was billed another 3 months .... I’ve been waiting to here back from someone about my account being blocked due to my DMV background check that I paid $19.99 for and was flagged for. Well I called the 1800 number to the Sterling Company that ran the results for my DMV background check and after speaking to someone for an hour I found out I wasn’t even in there system. They had NO INFORMATION on me at all. They said they couldn’t help me that this was a Care.com issue, but as for them, they had NOTHING on me. I just sent another email to Care.com I’ll wait another 48 hrs, but come Monday if I don’t here from someone by phone then I will be disputing the charges for the 3months I paid upfront and my $19.99. I did information from Sterling Company and I will be getting to the bottom of this.

Scam. Horrible company. They make so much money off peopg we/ who sign up. Paid for 3 months and couldn’t log in after 1 month. Couldn’t figure out how to fix it until after the 3 months was up: & they didn’t even compensate me for their system’s flaws, just told me to pay for another membership.

DO NOT USE TERRIBLE SERVICE - I signed up for one month of service since I was trying to find a sitter for my 15 mos old. I thought it was a one time fee but they ended up charging me $50 per month for MONTHS. Hundred of dollars later - I tried calling and they don't have anyone to speak to - saying a supervisor will call me back. They are highly deceptive swindlers taking advantage of people who have to turn to strangers to watch their loved ones and pets. Already not a fun experience turned worse due to greed and a public parent company looking for investor returns by any means possible.

DO NOT USE CARE.COM AS THEY USE DECEIVING PRACTICES. I SIGNED UP FOR PREMIUM SERVICE AND WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS I REALIZED THAT THEIR WEBSITE HAD VERY LITTLE TO OFFER IN TERMS OF CAREGIVERS. THE COMPANY IS UNWILLING TO REFUND CLAIMING THAT THIS IS STATED IN THEIR "TERMS AND CONDITIONS". ANY INTELLIGENT PERSON WOULD REALIZE THAT THEIR LACK OF TRANSPARENCY ABOUT THEIR REFUND POLICY IS DECEIVING. THEIR POLICY IS BURIED IN THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS WHEN IT SHOULD BE EXPLICIT AT THE TIME ONE REGISTERS, OR PAYS, OR WHEN THEY SEND CONFIRMATION ABOUT ACCOUNT CREATION. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB. A COMPANY THAT USES DECEIVING PRACTICES SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS. I'M NOT SURPRISED TO SEE OTHER COMPLAINTS AND THIS FURTHER SUPPORTS THE FACT THAT THEY USE DECEIVING PRACTICES.

Would not have given one star if it had been a choice. They had been charging me for membership (?) since February of 2021. It has been canceled. I have been requesting the emails that originated the agreement as I have no emails since 2017. February 2021 was when my bank accounts were hacked; all were changed. As there was NO reason for me to sign up for said account, I’m questioning it’s validity. I have not received any response that addresses my queries. Not one. They provided no services
