I didn't want premium service, i just clicked to message someone I wanted to hire! this is NOT user friendly and appears to just want to sell, sell sell. I still don't have a house cleaner!!!

I’ve been a user for 5-6 years as a care provider, and I’ve gotten numerous jobs off this website. I USED to rave about how useful and trustworthy it was, but I’ve had a real change of heart lately. I have not used my account in many months, since about December 2021, but was keeping my profile just in case I ever needed it. I was charged a few weeks with $20 after not being notified about it. When I reached out to customer service, they told me I definitely knew about it and it was a basic background check fee that everyone pays, and no refunds are ever given. Then they closed my inquiry. I have reached out twice since then, trying to get more clarification and assistance and had no response, despite being told that someone would reach out within 48 hours. I feel completely dismissed and slighted by these actions. This is no way to run a business that’s meant to HELP people, and after 5-6 years I will be closing my account knowing that this is how they treat their users. I wouldn’t waste your time or money.. stick to your area’s local Facebook groups for ads of caregivers/those in need of care.

Signed up for what I believed was a one month subscription two weeks in noticed I was charged for a full year contacted to correct to bring it back down to a monthly subscription. They refused saying you are billed in full no going back. Their site is intentionally misleading with no intention of making things right scam all day.

Confusing website, horrendous customer service. I inadvertently signed up for premium - something I had no intention of doing and thought I had avoided by hitting the back button. Unfortunately my payment went through. Care.com offered no support because they say the website is not confusing and they don’t offer refunds. How convenient. The website, at least on mobile, is confusing as I had zero intention of signing up for premium. No good will towards customers, and completely off brand for a company that wants me to trust their services for child care.

I signed up for care.com. I paid the fee for the background check which came back fine. I few weeks later my account was deactivated because Care.com felt I should register myself as a business instead of a individual. I was unable to login into my account, so I had to create another account and have to pay the background screening fee again - just one month later. Unable to get assistance through customer support.

You can't direct message candidates without upgrading to premium, but you can sign up and post your job. Then if a candidate applies for your job, you can't hire them or even reply to their application without upgrading to premium. Ok so basically you can't use the service at all without upgrading to premium, but they'll sure take your contact info along the way. This is shameful because it's targeting seniors and those who care for seniors. updated after care.com's reply: the company claims to be a paid sunscription service and that this is obvious. no, it's not obvious because i can sign up for the website for free and post a job for free. that's not paid subscription anything. that's a fairly clear indication that some features of the service are, and will be, free. in reality, you can't actually use any part of the service for free. all you can do is shout out to the world that you have a job to offer then you're deaf and mute when they reply. like i said, they do one thing free: collect your contact info so it can be sold as a lead. so i guess there is a free element to the service. my review stands. don't use this service. it's a money-grab.

Unnecessarily costly! I paid $30 for a month of service, just to be told by the applicant (who I couldn't message until I paid) that she doesn't do the job as listed in the title of the posting. This is a waste of my money!!! You don't even screen these people!!!! EDIT- The reply is laughable. They don't offer any useful features for free, because you can't contact the people applying for your job unless you pay money. Posting a job is not useful unless I can use that posting to actually find someone.
