Just so you’re aware the founder Sheila Lirio Marcelo Sheila Lirio Marcelo and CEO lives comfortably in Westford Ma. Near my employment. I wish TIM Allen the NEW CEO of Austin TX, knew what a disappointment and disaster this site really is. There is NO accountability NONE I have written three customer support messages to no avail after a very disturbing experience w my 6yo son and one of their vetted care givers come to find out has no account to pay on care was trying to hustle me for money out side of the site and is way too old and Ill to be caring for children. This is deplorable and You should not be sitting so pretty and comfortable in high end westford ma or Austin Tx while your clients that pay for your families home are left to NO peace and no customer service or phone number or communication except to call and report a problem to the police which refer You back to care. I had to pay for a background check when I was employed shortly for this company and now many years later needing a service I am disgusted that I ever represented them. For safety reasons for children and elders for care givers and companions this business is a complete HOAX I hope this finds you so well in your big house in Acton Tim

Below is my original review. They have answered, yet help.care.com is not, nor has it been, available. There is no way to get on the chat. None. Perhaps if I were on Facebook it would make a difference but I am not. It is a good resource for jobs if you get on it quickly when jobs are posted; however, no support. Good idea though. There is absolutely no tech support. I have been charged for premium, paid it, yet there is another email for me where it shows I have not paid. I am on two different emails cannot get off one, and there is no absolutely no way to contact care.com. They say go to the chat I go to the chat they say login I login and the chat window evaporates. It’s a good idea but bad follow through. And no email. It’s a “non-monitored email address.”

I wasn’t able to find a nanny, out of the many messages I sent. Communication from the caregivers is seriously lacking. Out of the many many messages I sent only 4 people actually replied to my message. Even if the position didn’t meet their needs, the courteous thing to to is send a message back declining. Then to top it all off you can’t remove your credit card information without talking to someone first and they just keep charging you and refuse to refund you.

THEY WILL SCAM YOU - STAY AWAY Do not, I repeat, DO NOT purchase any of their services or the premium membership, they will scam you and make it IMPOSSIBLE for you to cancel any subscription. I signed up, decided to try it out and it was terrible, I tried to cancel my subscription and I was LOGGED OUT of my account and I have been unable to access my account EVER SINCE. I sent them emails, I called, I sent messages on Facebook, THEY NEVER ANSWER. This is the most ridiculous, disgusting customer service I have ever encountered in my whole life. They will make it impossible for you to cancel your subscription just so that they can keep billing you. Today I had to cancel any future payments by contacting my BANK, and I was charged again yesterday after I sent SEVERAL EMAILS stating I wanted to cancel any future payments. Emails I sent WEEKS AGO, NEVER GOT A RESPONSE. Their services are terrible, there is no customer service, they are impossible to reach, never answer the phone. They just want your money, nothing else. I will dispute what they charged me yesterday as well, stay away or they will just steal your money. This is the worst company I have ever seen, no wonder they have only 1 start reviews.

The site is controlled, accounts are substituted by non-existing employers.I believe Care.com have many fake profile jobs they probably don't even exist.Its hard to find job on their website,but they know for sure how to charge your credit card every month.Consumer protection should investigate this Agency!

A paid a lot of money and had 0 results. Couldn't find any caregiver for my mom there. And it was an easy job, just cooking and serveve. I didn't even ask for light cleaning. Zero! Some caregivers are asking unreasonable fees and others are already set with clients. I have been almost a year with care.com, because I paid in full, and notice there are no new caregivers have been joining the site, all same faces for 10 months! Care.com does nothing to bring new caregivers. Save your money, don't even bother to join.
