I upgraded my account as a caregiver. Have responded to over 50 posts and have not received one response. I’ve had families reach out to me several times. It makes he believe that Care.com is creating false job postings. Over 50 applications. Not one response. It seems very fraudulent.

As a job seekers on Care.com, the hourly rates are so low. The going rate for cleaners now is at least $30 an hour and who is going to look after several kids and do other household duties for $20 per hour. I have sent off many interested responses and messages and never hear back. Also the jobs remain on the sites after date required and get repeated when looking through the jobs. Such a waste of money!!!!!

I would give Care.com a zero-star review if possible. Our very small preschool, having just survived covid by the skin of our teeth, signed up with them on the understanding that the fee was $200/yr. They called over and over to sign us up, and then after we did they were unreachable. We were billed $300/mo. on top of the initial charge, for a total of close to $900, which far exceeded our advertising budget. It was very difficult to get in touch with them to cancel the service and they refused to refund any of the other fees. We did not receive a single referred family from the "leads" that they were charging for. Their tactics were dishonest at worst and manipulative at best. I would definitely not recommend using them for any reason whether you are a school looking for new families or a family looking for a caregiver. Absolutely horrible company and horrible service preying on small business during a vulnerable time. Shameful!

This website is financially supported by the services, such as senior communities, for which they provide "review". One such community where a member of our family stays showed us a flyer in which a financial incentive was provide for reviews. Also read the Terms and Conditions which place limits on reviewer. For more balanced reviews check Yelp, Better Business Bureau etc.

I would leave a ZERO star review if possible. Do Not create an account on care.com, they will charge you $155 without notifing you and offer $0 refund. There is also no 1800 number which should've been a red flag. The only way to contact the members are through online chat and email. This website and service is a scam. The sitters I found on this website were less than hiring quality.

There website is not user friendly. The practices used by care.com are very deceptive. I am out money. It is very difficult to reach someone. I could not even access my account profile on their website. It just stayed on the "making your profile" section. I do not recommend this company.

Poorly designed. I have wasted days of my time scrolling looking for an appropriate nanny. As if this is not difficult enough, large majority of the listings state "not available for booking at this time" There should be a filter available to minimize this finding. If your not available, I dont need to see your bio! Something is sketch here, I messaged 48 people in one day and 2 responded. 2!!!! Ridiculous waste of time.

If I could give less than 1 stars, I would. Allow me to share my experience with Care.com. My wife recently obtained a job and we were in search of a nanny/babysitter for 2 days a week. We weren’t having luck finding baby-sitters through friends and family so my wife made an account with Care.com. She found a few nannies that she wanted to message so she upgraded her account to the $40 membership to contact them. Two days after upgrading her account, she was kicked out of her account. Each time she tried to log in it said that her credentials were wrong. She used the “forgot password” link to create new credentials, but no password reset email ever showed up. She tried it 10 times and never once received an email to reset her password. The only information my wife could find on the Care.com website was “in order to contact the Care.com help center you had to be logged in to your account”. Much good that did her. Still no account access and still no email to reset her account password. And in case you are wondering, Care.com doesn’t have a customer service phone number. You won’t find anything online to help you contact a member of the Care.com team anywhere! At this point, we were $40 in the hole and about to get charged for another month. So I decide to create an account to get access to the help center and try to get my wife’s membership cancelled (we finally found a nanny through a friend and just wanted out of our subscription at this point). I created my account, navigated to their “contact us” page and filled out their form. I then received an email from them that says “A member of the Care.com team will try to reach out to you in 48 hours”…. That’s inspiring. That was 2 weeks ago. I even tried using a different email address in case there was an issue with my original. Still nothing. Long story short Care.com is a bunch of thieves. They don’t have a customer service team in place so if anything happens to your account you are screwed out of $40 / month unless you cancel your credit card. How they haven’t been caught before now blows my mind. Oh, and we just got charged for a second month. Now we’re $80 in the hole for a service we were only given access to for 2 days. Don’t waste your money here.
