i joined, i paid $87 for 3 months, i posted a job, dog sitting, i get many messages from the network saying that miss everyone is interested , so i message miss everyone, but no replies. Looks like a robot is telling me that sitters are interested but there does not seem to be any real humans on this site.

God forbid you don’t cancel your account before your credit card gets charged an increased fee on the renewal date. Unlike those that care for their customers/members by sending an advanced notification, care.com just bills you, and even if you immediately cancel, you’ve just bought yourself another period of access

I can't leave a zero, I wish I could. This company is horrible. As a Recruiter for a childcare company, I purchased a 3-month package to post jobs. Did they allow me to post jobs- absolutley not. It took nearly 4 weeks to get a full refund mostly because they do not have a phone number. I was shuffled around to multiple people who just kept sending me pre-created customer service replies without actually helping me. Don't waste your time and money with these people. Care.com doesn't care at all! Care.com read this review and told me to contact their help email. Sorry care.com, not interested in additional pre-created emails by robots. Your company needs to send me an actual phone number. Not interested in more run around and getting nowhere.

Wish there were more alternatives. I've used this website out of necessity over a year but its always horrible. Given the price of the memberships here, the UX and customer service is horrible. I'm tech savvy and yet can't find a way to search specifically by hours available and price range?? That's ridiculous and such a waste of my time. It's like they tried to gamify looking through candidates as though this was a dating app... only i'm a busy parent and don't want to spend all evening swiping through nannys. I want to find the short list of people that best fit my families needs. I hope competitor companies read this and make a better product.

I read another review and I experienced the same issue. Paid for my updated background check before it expired. This was 3 weeks ago. I am unable to access my account therefore cannot send an email or chat. Where's your customer service? When you call the message tells you to go into your account to have your questions answered. Then it hangs up on you. Very frustrating!

I opened an account for my son, a single dad, who resides in USA with an autistic son because I wanted to pay the babysitting fees. I reside in New Zealand. In 2021 I tried to close the account, but they said I couldn't because I was in NZ and without realising they still charged me the annual fee the following September 2021. In 2022 I finally worked out how to close the account and got an email acknowledging that our account for my son had closed. Then, shock, AFTER sending me that email acknowledging the account closure, a few weeks later they withdraw the annual fee again! Now I have a fight on my hand to get my money back!!! I have no way of communicating easily as Jason's account is closed and it won't let me login anymore. I would put ZERO stars and would warn people they are difficult to communicate and deal with. Have nothing to do with Care.com. Instead, I thoroughly recommend Sitter.com as they are an absolute pleasure to deal with. So user friendly and readily available to help when necessary.
