They SUCK. I paid for a "basic screening" for the year, which they randomly charged me for in December 2020. It is now March 2020 and I still can't send messages or move forward. They keep saying courts are closed due to covid-19 and they have NO WAY of overiding it. SO basically, 4 months passed and I am not able to use the service after i paid! Their app sucks too! Their customer service, awful! They use the same copied and pasted answers!! not recomended! hope they get sued!

Aside from the fact that you must pay $39 a month just to search and contact people, I find that the people that apply to my job request were either unqualified or way out of my service area. Then when I would say where I live, they would say that's too far. Then why even apply? Also, I've had people apply and then say that they are busy. Then why post a job? I had a job posted on there to find a cleaning person, and with all the people around here, not one bite. Very unsuccessful when it comes to finding care and services that you need. I've used care.com before and had the same results. This is the last time I will ever use this company.

No responses from many, when interviews scheduled no call no show.

I’ve been working through care.com for close to five years. It can be a great opportunity students to help a family that needs extra support while making some money. Unfortunately over the years, the lack of respect and honesty from the families has gone too far and completely unfair. I had one family let me go with no advance to find another job. A second family had the mom sit up stairs all day and watch me with her twin daughters on the cameras.. very uncomfortable. I’ve been treated poorly by the parents of families on this site and been not paid on top of it sometimes. These situations aren’t even the tip of the iceberg, I’ve had worse experiences. There’s an option to write reviews for the nanny/housekeeper; there should be a section for caregivers to see and write their experiences with families they’ve worked with.

I live 20 miles outside of Milwaukee in a fairly populated suburban area. After 3 months on Care.com I found a babysitter who worked with us for about a year. That (barely) made the subscription fees worth it. I've seen people write bad reviews because they didn't like their babysitter. It's not Care.com's responsibility to find someone you like. My gripe with Care.com is that I'm pretty sure they use bots and fake profiles. I've reached out to countless caregivers who never respond despite me fitting their criteria (and high pay) quite well. There are so many glamour shots of young girls who don't seem to exist here in my town. I've also noticed several profiles that just don't seem to be written by someone who grew up in my area. I've seen some wording that is more European than Wisconsin in origin. Additionally I keep getting requests by Care.com to review "your babysitters" despite having never been in contact with those people. Care.com also keeps up people's profiles even if they stopped paying long ago. They can't be contacted but it makes Care.com appear to have so many more members than they have. Once we lost our first babysitter, we gave Care.com another chance but I finally shut down my account after reaching out to so many caregivers who don't seem to exist. We've since found much better success through a free site that allows neighbors to post to each other.

On the one hand, they delivered what they promised. On the other hand, they make sure not to send monthly invoices. TWO YEARS they billed my credit card. Without us logging in to use their service a single time in those two years! And for those two years, they didn't send a single invoice! Just took, and took, and took. When I saw the credit card charges, I mistakenly assumed it was skin care products my wife was ordering. An honest mistake that cost us over $800, because Care doesn't send receipts or invoices. And my wife thought she had canceled after we'd finished with their services. A truly scummy tactic by a company ensuring they make as much dishonest money as they can.

Care.com's "Free" account isn't free. You can look, but you cannot message anyone unless you PAY (show me the money!) I'd give them one star but after care.com extorted $37 from me, I was able to message a caretaker that we ended up hiring. And, don't pay for their background checks. Find your own company.

Don't use this service. It is $155 to get a basic membership in which you are not able to contact anyone. For that privilege you have to pay another 155 to upgrade to premium and this auto renews. There are no refunds and there is no way to contact them. You sign up and you are in for $310 and may be no use at all. I would have give negative stars but it would not let me enter a comment unless I selected two stars. They suck
