This site is well worth the $. Definitely worthwhile. I think the background checks are extra, not sure.

Finally, a web site that focuses on putting together people needing caregivers and caregivers needing employment! I just wish I had known about this site before now. I have been hiring caregivers for 5 years now to help care for my mother. I have used word of mouth and newspaper ads and, as such, have found several wonderful caregivers and a couple of not-so-great matches, including one very bad experience. That is not to say the same thing could not happen here, but... with one ad I found at least 6 qualified potential caregivers to interview. Never have I had such choice. I've just hired one of them, and expect we will have a great experience with her. Thank you care.com!

I have had such great experiences with care.com! I have used it to search for nanny positions which have always turned out great! And I have used it to search for sitters for my son. I have always had a lot of people looking for part time work, and found some great last minute sitters when i was in a pinch....I really have nothing bad to say about this company or site...they have always reaponded back to with questions in a timely manner and provide a wonderful service that i have been using for years and will continue to use :)

I am totally impressed with Care.com and their willingness to give us the perfect pet sitter we need for our vacation. I have been given several qualified applicants and am looking forward to meeting them all. I was given the referral to Care.com by our Vet's Office and am so glad I asked them about pet sitting. I look forward to using Care.com for future needs, as well. I only wish I would have known about their services when my mom was alive and I needed help with her dementia care. Yay for Care.com
