Reviewing as a caregiver and not a customer seeking care. Couldn’t believe how much it costs just to get signed up with the site. Then, minimal job availability in preferred area. Jobs are incredibly unclear and often contradictory. I think there needs to be better app usability and user experience so that people seeking care know how to appropriately fill out the job request. Then it shows how many people applied for the job, but no indication as to whether someone was hired or not. Most job listings are unclear, confusing, and/or contradictory and makes me leery to even bother applying. There goes $20 down the drain. Likely won’t be using this site again unless major updates take place.

Hi Julianna, We are a paid subscription service and not a free service. I'm sorry if you thought otherwise and therefore felt mislead. That was never our intention. Many sites like ours charge a fee in order to be able to offer you the features our site offers. Otherwise we'd just be like any other free classified site with very little to offer.

Not good. Although we eventually found a great pet sitter, the care.com website price was very high, and as soon as you cancel your expensive membership, you can no longer read even your old messages. We opted for the membership that included extended background checks but we gave up on that after a potential caregiver was unable to get it working on their end. Only about 20% of the caregivers responded to our messages. The site would not let us check for caregivers outside of the one city where we initially registered. We wasted a lot of money.

I almost fell victim to a scammer on this site. Thought I was being messaged by a genuine parent but turned out to be someone who just wanted my bank details. Be very aware of scammers when using this site. I have reported it on and and have tried to close my account but haven't been able to do so.

I am new to care.com and I’ve heard nothing but great things about it! My CareCheck just got completed, but for some reason my childcare applications aren’t going through. They still say “pending approval.” Why is this?? I have checked grammar and I just don’t understand why they are still pending.
