I've used Care.com for a number of years. I've connected with families I have been with for years, and others that didn't work out. But that's okay, because I knew that I would quickly be able to reach out to other families through Care.com! However, the app can be difficult to use. It frequently glitches i.e. not showing chats with others, not sending messages, crashing. Additionally, there were some users I wished to report because of concerning profiles. It was unclear what I could do to ensure the site can check these profiles. I wish there was a feature to remove families you aren't interested in within the search section of the app. It was challenging sifting through families I already knew I did not want to work with. Overall, I appreciate Care.com for the outreach but think the app needs serious reconfiguration to be user-friendly.

I love all the jobs, but it is very rare that the families reply to you. A lot of us have talked about it, and everyone says the same. The other one is that the family reaches out 3 months later, well that’s a little long.

I have found work on Care.com, but I have to apply to many jobs (20+) to get it! Many of the "posters" don't even read my message/application, which makes me question whether these people are really looking for care or assistance. I know Care.com had judgments to pay in the past for making it appear many more jobs existed and not all postings were real people seeking care. I truly hope this is no longer the case, but I have to wonder. So many "job listings" and the person posting often doesn't bother reading the responses, even when only 3 or 4 people apply? Seems strange.

Care.com has been wonderful source for families and caregivers for decades. Stick close to their guidelines because you must be careful of people scamming your private information for sales or worse. Care.com will kick scammers off but cannot protect you from what you share

I rated my experience at Care.com a 3/5 because yes the job was great getting to work with different families whenever they needed backup care. But as I was leaving the job the job was not helpful at all. My supervisor was like not helpful in leaving. I made it clear after I graduated I was going to be looking for a job within my career field. It also wasn’t clear to me that I would not getting my sick time hours I accrued over the past year. So that money went down the drain. I signed the employee handbook 3 years ago I don’t remember what it said. So to me it just left a sour taste in my mouth during my process of leaving.

I like the fact that we can private message but the fact when you apply then it has more suggestions for jobs the suggest more jobs to apply for it doesnt allow you to view the job description before applying Also dont like the fact that you dont make people respond to applications it states read but the app should make families looking state yes no maybe or ill come back to this person later communication in the app is horrible goes days without hearing if not weeks the app should require families seeking a nanny/childcare respond within a reasonable time frame.

I like it because it gives you job options, but I haven't had in itself, a job that job opportunity. I would also like you to show the people who are requesting the cleaning service.

Been on there for 3 months and have gotten nothing. Very qualified, for caregiving and housekeeping. I am paying 25 roughly a month and no calls.Really. Ready to close account.
